2018 Uranus in Taurus turns retrograde
    - 07 Aug- 12.48 pm EDT to 06 Jan 2019
Uranus is the planet of sudden and unexpected change.
His motto is “expect the unexpected”.
He is responsible for thunderstorms, lightning, tornados, and earthquakes.
He rules individuality, innovation, and eccentricity.
He also is the planet of rebellion and chaos.
In Taurus he asks us to focus on what is of true value and importance in our lives on the physical and material plane
but also what is important to our spirits.
Uranus in Taurus wants us to identify what prevents us
from being empowered in our lives and now that he turns retrograde we have the support to release whatever that is and live our lives with authenticity.
Uranus spends 7 to 8 years in an astrological sign.
It takes 84 years for him to travel through all 12 zodiac signs.
When he entered Aries in May 2010 he was offering all of us new inspired beginnings and breaking through to our authentic selves.
Any planet visiting Aries actives a cycle of new beginnings.
On May 15, the day of the Taurus New Moon (values and what is important) the planet of “expect the unexpected” entered Taurus for the first time since June 1934.
(He was visiting Taurus until May 1942 a time of great upheaval and conflict).
It is said history does not repeat itself but it rhymes.
We currently have upheaval (earth changes) and conflict (human egos needing to be in control).
Taurus is a fixed sign and can be very stubborn when it comes to values.
We all need to work with this Uranus in Taurus journey to elevate the planet from conflict to co-operation.
Uranus, now retrograde, retraces the energy of whatever you have been experiencing since May 15 this year.
On May 16 the planet Mars in Aquarius (the collective consciousness) and Uranus in Taurus (what is of true value) entered their Fourth Quarter Square (revision and realignment).
Their second meeting was Aug 01.
The third will be Sept 18. So while Uranus is retrograde in Taurus the revision and realignment focus is prominent.
Uranus will be retrograde in Taurus until he moves backward into Aries (inspired new vision) on Nov 06.
(Interesting that is the day of the general elections in the US).
Uranus will move direct on Jan 06 at 28 degrees Aries
and reach 00 degrees Taurus again on Mar 06, 2019.
He will remain in Taurus until April 2026.
Remember Uranus spends 7 to 8 years in a sign.
While Uranus visits Taurus he is ruled by Venus
    (self–worth and personal empowerment).
She just entered Libra (Aug 06 at 7.27 pm EDT).
In Libra she asks us to focus on peace and harmony in all our relationships including the one to self.
Also on Aug 06 at 7.27 pm EDT the Sun in Leo
(the ego or the compassionate heart) was square
(finding new ways of doing things)
Jupiter in Scorpio (releasing what no longer serves us).
That sets the tone for the Venus in Libra journey.
On Sept 09 at 5.25 am EDT Venus enters Scorpio
(healing and releasing what no longer serves us).
On Sept 12 she will oppose Uranus Rx in Taurus
(identifying what is out of balance).
Because Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio
on Oct 05 at 3.04 pm EDT she emphasises healing and release.
On Oct 26 Venus will meet the Sun at 03 degrees Scorpio
and begins her Morning Star journey (spiritual warrior for transformation).
On Oct 31 Venus Rx in Scorpio will again oppose Uranus Rx in Taurus.
They will be asking us to look deeply within
and heal whatever keeps us disempowered.
That same day she will move backward into Libra
    (healing relationship conflict).
She turns direct on Nov 16 at 5.51 am EDT at 25 degrees Libra and re-enters Scorpio (healing and transformation)
    on Dec 02.
She will continue to visit Scorpio until Jan 07, 2019.
Uranus moves direct on Jan 06, 2019.
    You can see the interconnectedness.
Uranus is a 7th Ray planet.
It is the Ray of Invocation and Spiritual Manifestation.
Our Archangel guides are Zadkiel and Amethyst, the guardians of The Violet Flame of Transmutation.
While Uranus visits Taurus he activates the 4th Ray of Harmony Through Conflict with Archangels Gabriel, resurrection and renewal, and Hope, spiritual unity.
The 4th Ray is also the Ray of Harmony Through Beauty.
It is the Ray of humanity.
Let us all transform conflict into harmony.
Our Animal Totem guides for Uranus in Taurus is Beaver, clearing the clutter and building the new
(Northern Hemisphere) and Snake, shedding the old and making space for the new (Southern Hemisphere).
When Uranus revisits Aries we are guided by Falcon,
clear vision, and Red Tailed Hawk, spiritual messenger (Northern Hemisphere) and Crow, sacred law
and justice for all, and Raven, magic and The Mysteries (Southern Hemisphere).
I always say it does not matter where you live.
When you call on these guardians they will always answer.
While Uranus visits Taurus our Clan Mother guide
is Listening Woman, the keeper of the stillness and inner knowing.
She teaches us to Hear the Truth.
When Uranus re-visits Aries our guide is Looks Far Woman.
She is the keeper of the golden door of illumination and the crack in the Universe.
She teaches us how to become healed healers.
She teaches us how to See the Truth.
You can read their stories in The 13 Original Clan Mothers
    by Jamie Sams.
I mentioned at the beginning of this post that Uranus rules thunder and lightning.
Here in the Greater Toronto area we have a series of severe thunderstorms passing through into tonight (Aug 06).
A prediction of what might come?
Whatever you experience it is the opportunity to become authentically empowered.
    Namaste and Blessings,
    Dale
