At Solstice from our perspective on Earth for 4 days the Sun rises and sets at the same point on the eastern and western horizons. Solstice means Sun Standing Still.

We experience the longest sunrises and sunsets. It is a very Sacred Time and asks us to appreciate the beauty of our lives on this very special planet we call home. It is time to stand still for a moment and just BE. And to remember, no matter what the challenges have been in the last year and a half, our Souls chose to be here at this time to Shine The Light of Love.

In the Northern Hemisphere at Summer Solstice the Earth is tilted toward the Sun giving us the longest day. The Solar force (action) is strongest. We enter the South Direction of our Medicine Wheel, the place of Youth, enthusiasm, expansion, and growth. It is also the time when we learn to listen to our intuitive guidance as we make choices. The Guardian of the South is Coyote, whose Medicine is flexibility and adaptability. If we are taking life too seriously Coyote
is The Trickster who teaches us to laugh at ourselves
and let go of trying to control everything.

He teaches us to adapt to change with ease.

Where I live there is a lot of country around.

At night we can hear the local Coyote pack telling us
to be joyful and have fun in life.

In the Southern Hemisphere your part of The Earth is tilted away
from the Sun giving you the longest night at Winter Solstice.

The Lunar force (wisdom) is strongest.

You enter the North Direction of your Medicine Wheel, the place of the Elder, introspection, silence, patience, translating knowledge into wisdom
and sharing that wisdom.

This is the place of listening to the wisdom of The Ancestors
and their guidance when facing challenges.

The Guardian of the North is White Buffalo, prayer, abundance, and peace.

The other Guardians of the North are Owl, wisdom to discern the truth,
and Whale, ancestral wisdom.

All three are walking with you.

While the Sun visits Cancer (June 20/21 to July 22, 2021)
the focus is on our emotional healing.

Cancer feels everything deeply.

We have to learn compassionate non-attachment
so we do not take on what is not ours.

The sign of Cancer is the “helper” and giver.

Remember to nurture and nourish yourself as much as you do others.

In the Norther Hemisphere the Animal Totem guide
for this Sun journey is Flicker Woodpecker,
who guides us through the transitions life creates with All Healing Love.

Flicker connects to the Heart Beat of Mother Earth,
as we heal she heals.

During this time the astrological Earth is in Capricorn, our Soul Purpose Path.

She is guided by Snow Goose, following your dreams
and visions for creating the new way.

They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere.

Capricorn is also a symbol for society and Pluto
(tearing down the old structures that no longer work leading to transformation)
has been in Capricorn since Jan 2008.

He will remain in Capricorn until Nov 2024.

We have seen many changes and there are many more to come.

Do not fear the release of the old embrace it.

The Solstice chart actives the theme until the Equinoxes of Sept 22/23, 2021.

The Moon (intuitive knowing and wisdom) entered Scorpio at 7.58 am EDT
on June 20, 2021.

Scorpio is Fixed Water and wants us to heal what lies beneath.

Those places our ego mind does not like to go.

The Animal Totem for Scorpio is Snake. I found something
I wrote many years ago that is so appropriate for the journey ahead.

“Snake people are intense, psychic, and mysterious.

You keep who you really are well hidden until it feels safe to reveal
your deepest self.

More than any other Totem Snake symbolizes the transformation process
that is necessary for you to experience.

As you journey ahead you will be asked to shed the “old skin” many times.

It is through this releasing that you are renewed and reborn”.

The Moon is the guide for the Sun’s journey through the sign of Cancer.

The Sacred Totem for this Scorpio Moon is the Phoenix,
rising from the aches of the old self. Also on June 20, 2021
at 11.06 am EDT Jupiter in Pisces turns retrograde
(identifying what blocks your spiritual vision from manifesting)
and is trined (ease and flow) by the Moon at 11.35 am EDT.

Listen to your Soul’s guidance. At 5.29 pm EDT the Scorpio Moon squares (motivation for change) Mars in Leo (ego control or letting go with love).

This sets up the energy of release and transformation.

On June 21 the Moon in Scorpio (healing the shadow) squares
(finding new ways of doing things) Saturn Rx in Aquarius
(resisting the new way) at 5.09 am EDT
and opposes Uranus in Taurus
(breaking through to what is of true value) at 6.02 am EDT.

This reactivates the Saturn/Uranus Square aspect we have been working
with since the first square on Feb 17, 2021
and the 2nd on June 14, 2021.

This time Saturn retrograde asks us to really look at how
trying to control life actually limits and restricts our freedom of movement.

Later this evening the Moon will trine (removal of obstacles)
Neptune in Pisces (mystical connection)
and Venus in Cancer (ancestral wisdom).

On June 22, 2021 at 2.43 am EDT the Scorpio Moon is working in harmony
with Pluto in Capricorn (the power of transformative healing)
and at 6.00 pm EDT Mercury in Gemini moves direct
after being retrograde since May 29, 2021.

The time begins for moving forward with our new vision.

Just remember to take it slow as Mercury
will still be in his retrograde shadow until July 07, 2021.

As you can see the first days of the new cycle activated
by Solstice ask us to be willing to release the old and make space
for the new.
