The names of the 72 angels of the Shemhamphorash

are derived by the Boustaphedric reading of these 3 verses

which yields 72 triads of letters (one from each verse)

with each triad being the name of an angel.

Together these 72 names make up a 216 letter name of God

called the Shemhamphorash which means

"The Divided Name" in Hebrew.

In this sense, the term "God" is referring to the unity of all existence,

what the Hermetics call "The All" and Kabbalists call "Ein Soph",

and as such, each angel is an aspect of this divine unity.

  Lucifer: A fallen Cherub, used to be one of the highest ranked heavenly Angel. Like every Cherub he had two pair of wings. He is defined as the light bringer and as a Cherub he was the Cherub of God’s music. He represents the morning star, and as the morning star he used to be the brightest and most beautiful amongst the Cherubims. After his fall he is now one of the most powerful among the Satans (adversaries).
  Samael: When it’s about rank well Samael’s place was higher than the ḥayyot (" holy heavenly creatures") and the Seraphim. He is a frightful looking angel with 12 wings. His height is so great, it takes five hundred years to cover a distance equal to it, from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet he is studded with glaring eyes. He is described as an accuser, seducer, and destroyer. He is the angel of death who takes the soul away from man. Samael resides in the seventh heaven, although he is declared to be the chief angel of the fifth heaven, the reason for this being the presence of the throne of glory in the seventh heaven. He is the commander of two million angels such as the chief of other Satans. He also became the consort of Lilith and created with her a host of demon children (He even tricked Adam to mate with the angel of prostitution named Naamah and thus Asmodeus was born).
  The difference between their power and ranks is just enormous. Lucifer fell because of his strive to claim the highest seat among all Cherubs, this was further fuelled by his pride as the most brightest Cherub. Samael on other hand was an angel whose duty itself was of dark nature, in many ways he is similar to the angels Af (Anger) and Hemah (Wrath), for just like them he is an primal angel who God created to execute his will at any cost, due to the primal nature of his responsibility unlike Lucifer he is described to be as both good and evil.
  While it’s quite clear that Lucifer is a fallen Angel, the status of Samael is more or less ambiguous in nature.
  And if you go by various scriptures you will realise that Lucifer wasn’t exactly evil, yes he is depicted to possess pride (unnaturally high pride for a Cherub) but he can’t be described as evil. On other hand the descriptions about Samael clearly bear the testimony of his evil nature.

  Their natures and aims can be best summarised as follows:
  Lucifer: Aimed to be the brightest and most powerful among the Cherubims. Aimed to ascend wherein no Angel has ever dreamt about ascending, for he believed himself to be far mightier than all angels. He was vain but not treacherous.
  Samael: Aimed to be the new God. Aimed to overthrow God from Heaven. Aimed to destroy faith in God from the hearts of human. Aimed to corrupt everyone and rule over everyone. He was evil, spiteful and treacherous.
  If you see carefully, Samael indeed makes Lucifer look like a good guy. I mean what kind of being this God is who banishes Lucifer who was basically a proud (in a way vain) dreamer into hell while keeps a clearly evil and spiteful being like Samael in seventh heaven.
  Although an explanation for this choice of God is provided nowhere but from what I infer maybe God considers vanity to be a greater sin than treachery and betrayal. Which according to me is plain weird.
  Edit 1: After pondering over it I think I understand why Lucifer was punished in a harsher way than Samael. The reason is the chance of redemption.
  Samael is described to be treacherous and full of hatred but hateful persons can be redeemed because they keep their minds open enough to evaluate the ideals of those they hate, because at the end of the day they see themselves equal to those they hate.
  But when a person is vain he literally closes his mind and thinks that his ideals are superior to everyones’ else. A vain person doesn’t even care to consider the ideals of others for he/she sees everyone as inferior to him/her, such a person can never be redeemed.

  Well, in simplest terms, Lucifer was arrogant and threatened his already high position just to attain more power. Samael however, is an Archangel and very high ranking amongst angels. He was made by God to carry out his dark deeds.
  In each religion, Samael differs. As a Jew, this is from my perspective. Samael is made to tempt people into sin. His job, given to him by God, is to basically test his decisions (give man free will). He is NOT Fallen in that sense (he doesn't do evil things because he is Evil). His opposite is Michael who is supposed to test if people can be good.
  So you can picture it this way, Angels just carry out their Creator's wishes, even if they are bad ones. God is known to be benevolent and merciful, but also strict and punishing. So, all of what Samael does, as terrible as it is in our human beliefs, are acts of God. If God didn't want Samael to tempt the darkness inside people, he wouldn't.

      Lloyd Belcour interesting you bring this up. I recently started, as in last week, reading a pdf about Archons. After which, I believe the Angelics who I thought had been with me helping turned out to be not so helpful but rather parasitic. After finding out that the man I'm entering into a new relationship with was being attacked in his dream state about me specifically, I knew it to be true.
      This man is not like us and is just starting his self discovery journey..so he is unaware of contracts or archons or incubus even. After 3 consecutive nights with dealing with this entity who 1. Threatened and told him he has been courting me (lol) for yrs and to stay the hell away from me
      2. Turned red eyed and screamed and intimidated and turned demoniac...basically I was his...forever
      3. Finally relented and said he would give him whatever he wanted...money, power, fame if he left me alone
      Still did not deter this man...but he doesn't understand why this is happening. And I knew it coincided with me telling him I was Sovereign and cutting cords and revocation of whatever contract I must have done...he came after my new friend.
      This was yesterday I did this ...and today I have Raziel/Ea show up and confirm but also say we are confused or at least I'm confused about Archons and demiurge and the like...but I am released and freed.
      I feel like Sarah from Book of Tobit and Asmodius..ugh.
      My energy is very bright and my teachers say I attract them like moths.
      It was Gabriel. Have you heard Cameron Day talk about them?
      I've spoken to all 7 brothers. I do believe they are like us...light and dark within.

  Authorship of Sefer Raziel HaMalakh
  The famous Sefer Raziel HaMalakh ("Book of Raziel the Angel") attributed to this figure is said to contain all secret knowledge, and is considered to be a book of magic. He stands close by God's throne, and therefore hears and writes down everything that is said and discussed.[3] He purportedly gave the book to Adam and Eve after they ate from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil (that resulted in their expulsion from the Garden of Eden) so the two could find their way back "home" and better understand their God.
