Cat And Dog Abandoned In A Park Become Inseparable Friends

The idiom “ fighting like cats and dogs” is no longer valid!
Our favorite pets are known for not being the best companions to each other,
but as it turns out, this is not always the case!

Namely, you have surely witnessed a fight between a cat and a dog,
but not many of you have seen the opposite: a feline and a canine
being inseparable friends!


The following story is simply inspiring!
The friendship between a dog and a cat in Rome, Italy,
has given the town plenty to speak about.

Namely, it all started when the National Dog Defense League
found a white and beige dog and a snow-white cat,
previously abandoned by their owner and left in a park.

A spokesman for the organization that rescued them said:


“A story of friendship and love between a dog and a cat in the capital.
We hope someone can adopt them together. They are inseparable.”

The dog acted as a protector to the cat and defended his friend
whenever she was frightened or attacked by other local cats.

The strong bond between the two animals touched the hearts
of many visitors, so they started leaving food for them.

Eventually, a group of spontaneous collaborators decided
to contact Emanuele Faloni.
Faloni, a volunteer from another animal organization
who rescues animals in need, gladly agreed to help.

He built a special little cage for the animals to be able
to come closer to the food and catch it without being afraid.
Faloni also built a small house for them to live in.

In the first few days, the dog and the cat were suspicious
and afraid to come near to it.
When the dog fell under the trap one day,
the cat didn’t leave her friend alone.

She approached the cage instead and made sure that the dog was fine.

She eventually entered the cage herself,
as she didn’t want to leave her friend alone.
Meanwhile, the cat and dog recovered and were examined by a vet.

Then, they waited for someone to adopt them,
and provide them with all the love, care, and protection they needed.


Interestingly, they were both adopted on February 14th
– the Day of Love and Friendship!
