2017 Cancer Super New Moon

Here in the North Country this was the first New Moon of the South Direction
on the Medicine Wheel.

Summer Solstice had just occurred two days before.

Instead of going to the Star Temple to celebrate, Snowy Owl and Shooting Star made their way
to the river that flowed through their tribal land.

The tradition at this New Moon cycle was to join their mother Flicker and grandmother Snow Goose
to celebrate the turning of the season.

Because of her age the Elder could no longer climb the path to the Star Temple
but the wisdom she had to share was important as she knew the sacred teachings of the ancestors.

Snowy Owl and Shooting Star made their way through the woods that bordered the river.

They saw the bonfire at the river bank lighting the dark night sparks flying high.

The fire was also reflected in the many eyes shining in the woods.

The sisters knew the Animal Totems had come to join in the ceremony.

That made this a very special New Moon.

As the young women emerged from the wood the sound of the Mother Drum filled the night.

Bar-um, bar-um, bar-um.

Their mother, grandmother, and the three Shamans, Red Crab, Black Beetle,
and Painted Turtle sat around the drum and created the sacred sound.

When the Shamans joined the ceremony it too spoke of how special this New Moon cycle would be.

Quietly the sisters joined the circle.

The drumming stopped in anticipation of Sister Moon’s message.

From the northwest direction Luna began to speak.

“This New Moon is a time to honour the wisdom of the Ancestors that are your lineage.

Wisdom does not come from the ego mind but from the compassionate heart.

Your people always taught everything that Creator and Great Mystery gave manifest to
is linked by the Oneness.

All that lives on the Earth Mother is sacred. This has been forgotten in the far away time.

This Moon cycle is for remembering what is truly important and becoming advocates for that sacred teaching.

Snowy Owl and Shooting Star you are meant to hold this teaching in your hearts.

It promises to honour and support the Sacred Connection between all that is.”

Sister Moon paused for a moment and then continued.

“As we said in the far away time the human kingdom has forgotten these teachings.
They have for the most part allowed negative thought patterns
and limiting beliefs to separate them from their Cosmic origins.

This Moon cycle is about breaking free from those mental and emotions wounds that keep humans repeating the behaviour that keeps them stuck in the old illusions of separateness and division.

They need to understand life is the river. It is time to stop swimming upstream
against the current and turn around so the river can guide them to where their life force is once again embracing the Oneness.

They will then know where they truly belong and Peace and Harmony for all will be restored
in the kingdom of the two leggeds.”

The Abraham Teachings (through Esther Hicks) talk about life being a river.

Our physical bodies are the canoe.

Our thoughts and emotions are either upstream or downstream.

Upstream means we are paddling like mad against the current (our true self)
trying to get somewhere we are told we need to go.

Downstream means we are allowing the current (our true self) to guide us to where we need
to be to find balance and peace.

It seems in the world this year most humans are paddling like mad “upstream”.

The secret is to just let go and flow with the current.

Even if there are times your canoe gets stuck in sandbars you still have the paddles (your intuitive guidance) to free your canoe from the barrier and continue to flow downstream.

This is a very emotional New Moon.

The key phrase for the sign of Cancer is “I feel everything”.

The lesson is to not get overwhelmed by those emotions.

This is also a Super Moon when Luna is closer to Earth in her orb than other times.

The Moon is a symbol for our emotions. Water is a symbol for our emotions.

A Super Moon in the sign of Cancer stirs our deepest feelings.

This can be positive as it creates a response to life with empathy and compassion.

Or if we are paddling like crazy upstream against our current (life force) emotions
can turn into anger and aggressive behaviour towards others.

That is what fear looks like.

So how do we go from fear and anger to love and compassion?

“It’s easy if you try”. Cancer is associated with the Universal Archetype
of the Magical Child or the Wounded Child.

The Moon is linked to memories.

This Super Moon is at 02 degrees Cancer 47 minutes so it is pure Cancer.

The key is remembering the Wounded Child can be healed and transformed
and become the Magical Child who flows downstream.

We have help from the planetary dance. Mercury at 05 degrees Cancer (emotional thinking)
and Mars at 12 degrees Cancer (compassionate action) are traveling with this New Moon.

They are “out of bounds” (thinking outside the box) so we can soar to new heights
and possibilities during this Moon cycle if we choose to heal the old wounds.

Or we can continue to be angry and blame everyone else (including the world)
for our stuckness in old wounds. Here is why.

Mars (aggressive action) is opposite (tug of war) the Asteroid Juno Rx at 12 degrees Capricorn
(committed relationship and self-responsibility) and Pluto Rx at 18 degrees Capricorn
(releasing the old and embracing transformation).

The Rx means they are retrograde and asking us to look deeply within to recognize
how our wounds prevent us from flowing downstream with life and how those wounds
manifest relationship conflict.

This opposition (integration of opposites) is square (motivation for change)
Jupiter at 13 degrees Libra (fairness for all).

Jupiter in turn is inconjunct Neptune at 14 degrees Pisces
(letting go of what can never be true).

But the Universe gives us a way out of this T Square
(feeling backed into a corner).

Mars is trine (easy action and flow) Neptune, and Juno and Pluto are sextile Neptune
(easy opportunity to release illusion).

What always fascinates me is the rhythm of the planetary dance. Jupiter (expansion and growth)
is the exalted ruler of this Cancer New Moon and Neptune (The Oneness) is the Soul Centered ruler.

This Moon cycle is about embracing the Divine Child in each of us.

Our Animal Totem guide for the Northern Hemisphere for this Cancer New Moon is Flicker Woodpecker, new spiritual rhythms coming into our lives and all healing love.

For the Southern Hemisphere it is Snow Goose, following your dreams and visions.

I have always associated Cancer with our sense of Spiritual Destiny.

The Clan Mother is Loves All Things, the guardian of unconditional love.

She teaches us to forgive others but most importantly to forgive and love ourselves.

She is the guide for us all.

The Tarot Constellation that is activated by this New Moon is The Chariot,
the principle of Mastery Through Change. It is the vibration of the Sacred Number 7
which is found in all spiritual traditions.

I call it stepping onto the Mystical Path. Again in the symbolism of the seventh Tarot card
a chariot is being pulled by two horses.

One is white and the other is black.

They are trying to go in different directions.

The Charioteer needs to find inner mastery and channel
that power into the horses so they will unite and move forward together
taking the Charioteer where she or he wants to go.

The Horse is a symbol for strength, movement, and freedom.

The other energy of this Constellation is the planet Mars.

Currently in Cancer he symbolizes spiritual action.

This Cancer New Moon is expressed on the 7th Ray of Ceremonial Order and White Magic.

It is the Ray of Ascension with Archangels Zadkiel, Invocation and Prayer, and Amethyst,
Forgiveness and Freedom as our guides.

They are the Keepers of the Violet Flame of Transmutation and Illumination.

The other Ray is the 3rd of Divine Mind and Active Intelligence with Archangels Chamuel,
Divine Love and Adoration, and Charity, Gratitude and Grace.

As always these Archangels will guide us with Love
and Divine Compassion when we call on them.

They are emissaries of Creator and Great Mystery.

This is the message Sister Moon gave at the Cancer New Moon in 2016.

“This Moon cycle is about mastering the emotions so the wisdom of the Soul
can be what guides each human to do no harm and create a world of peace built on Love.

Now more than ever this is crucial in the far away time.

All of you gathered here understand this message.

It is time for you to step onto your destiny path and awaken others who are still asleep.

IT IS TIME.”

I guess this message will continue to be repeated until the kingdom of the two-leggeds gets it.
