In traditional astrology,
Chiron symbolizes the original shattering
that becomes the impetus for our healing.
Our 50th year, when Chiron returns to the point
where it was when we were born,
marks a milestone of growth.
During this time, we will in some way revisit
our earliest wounding which can result
in a higher level of maturity.
Chiron stays in a sign of the zodiac for 8 years.
Since February 2019, Chiron has been
in the fire sign Aries.
Chiron in Aries describes a wound
involving life force energy
– our desire to experience life to the fullest.
During this transit from Jupiter
we may be shown ways in which
we are reluctant to commit fully to life.
To add to the mix, Chiron is slowing to station
– intensifying its impact
– and will turn direct on December 13, 2019.
In Shamanic Egyptian Astrology,
Chiron is aligned with Anubis
in his manifestation as the Shower of the Way.
Chiron and Anubis were both abandoned as babies.
These two were destined for greatness
but their birthright could not be claimed
until they released their attachment
to their earliest wounding.
This release is not achieved through the mind
– we can understand and still suffer.
Abandonment is traumatic
and the distress of these experiences
lives on in our bodies.
In order to heal we must release our wounding
on a cellular level.
Mythology is rich with characters
who are half human/half animal
– including Chiron and Anubis
– which serves as a reminder
that the brilliance of our minds
must not dull our ability to listen
to the wisdom of our animal bodies.
This transit of Jupiter (Horus, the Young King)
to Chiron/Anubis provides an opportunity
to acknowledge and address in a new way
a core wound around our commitment
to life and thereby move
to a higher octave of wholeness.
