how should 'theft' be dealt with ??? (like people who take products, not for immediate at work use, but, for later in the day / or weekend, or, stealing them for daughters - or cousins, or, neighbours, or other sisters that don't work there) - should there be fines ???

Hopefully next will be to make it mandatory for any place that has toilets! So that you can stop in a cafe or anywhere and expect to have mensrual product there.

    Amazing news!

"Today, Minister of Labour Seamus O’Regan Jr. announced that, as of December 15, 2023, federally regulated employers will be required to make menstrual products available to workers at no cost while they are in the workplace".

This is a huge step forward. But let's not stop at federally regulated workplaces and disposable products. Reusable products such as menstrual cups, washable cloth pads, and period underwear have a significant role to play in ensuring a sustainable path forward for menstrual equity, but also for the health of our environment. More options for menstruators means more bodily autonomy and empowerment. Let's envision a world in which menstruators from all backgrounds are provided with product choice.

Reach out if you're interested in learning about how we can work together to bring reusable menstrual care to your school or workplace. Let's chat!

All federally regulated employers will be required to provide menstrual products at no cost to workers as of Dec. 15, 2023.

Menstrual products like pads and tampons are as necessary as toilet paper and soap, but they are not treated that way in most workplaces, the federal government said.

It will require employers to put pads and tampons in washrooms (or another space controlled by the employer) so that any worker who needs them while on the job has access.
