    CREME OR CREAM PUFFS
    INGREDIENTS:

    • 1 stick butter (8 Tablespoons)
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 tsp PURE - real vanilla
    • 4 eggs
    • 1c flour
    • MOM’S FAMOUS FILLING:
    • 1 pint heavy cream
    • 1 package (3.4 OUNCES) instant vanilla pudding OR 8 OZ of original cream cheese
    • ⅓ cup milk
    HOW TO MAKE MOM’S FAMOUS CREAM PUFFS:

    Bring the butter, water and vanilla to a boil.
    Add the flour and stir constantly until it leaves the side of the pot and forms a ball.
    Remove and cool.
    Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time until smooth.
    Drop by T. onto parchment lined cookie sheets
    Bake at 400 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.
    LET COOL.
    Slice in half and pipe or scoop in Mom’s filling.
    Dust with powdered sugar.
    Filling:
    Beat the cream, pudding powder and milk in a mixer until thick like whipped cream!

      I’ve been making the same recipe for many years. Yummy! Sometimes I fill with vanilla pudding; sometimes chocolate. I dust the tops with powdered sugar or Magic Shell! Sometimes I make it as a pie. I double the recipe. I bake the cream puffs in a 9 X 13 pan. I make the pudding with 1 pint heavy whipping cream , 8 oz. Cream cheese & 1/3 c. of milk. Refrigerate then spread on cooled cream puff, top with Magic Shell. #%# For the life of me I can’t remember if I put the cream cheese in with the pudding or with the whipped cream! I haven’t made the pie in probably 25 years! 1f602. Thanks for sharing!
