Mercury at 11 degrees Virgo turns retrograde 12 Aug 2017 at 6.00 pm PDT- 9.00 pm EDT

I love how the Universe is always sending us signs and signals (if we pay attention).

When Mercury goes on one of his retrograde journeys (does not matter in which sign)
his Sacred Animal Totem Guide is Coyote, the Trickster.

Coyote is creator, teacher, and keeper of magic.

But he is also the joker and teaches us not to take ourselves too seriously.

This is important for our current Mercury retrograde journey in Virgo.

This is the sign that is serious, practical, analytical, and seeks perfection.

There is no such thing as “perfection” and the more we try to make things “perfect”
the more we disconnect from being in the flow of life.

Last night I could not sleep so was up until 2.00 am this morning.

I was thinking, thinking, thinking.

We have a resident Coyote Pack that lives in the area outside our small town.

Because there is a lot of new construction their territory has been disturbed.

We have not heard them for a month or two. I thought they had relocated.

But this early, early morning there they were howling up a storm.

That tells me Coyote will be an important guide for this retrograde journey.

Here is Coyote’s gift. “Coyote…you devil! You tricked me once more!
Must I sit and ponder, what you did it for?” (The Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams and David Carson).

So the question is where do you need to lighten up in your life and not take yourself so seriously?
Also how can you have clear boundaries so the craziness that is going in the world right now
does not pull you out of your Sacred Center?

Spiritually Virgo symbolizes “At Oneness Within”.
In the traditional Zodiac Mercury is the ruler of Gemini (logic vs intuition)
and Virgo (integration of mind, body, and spirit).

He influences our thoughts, perceptions, and style of communication.

When he is retrograde he asks to review, rethink, revise, and eventually realign our focus.

The key phrase for his retrograde journey in Virgo is “I analyze”.

But that is on the ego personality plane.

Spiritually Virgo’s phrase is “I heal”. She is the sign of alternative healing modalities.
So if you have health issues that are in need of healing and relief you may want to explore
non-traditional methods.

Especially during Mercury’s retrograde journey through the sign of health (Virgo).

The following insights were posted on Aug 25 and rather than writing the influences again
I have copied them from that post.

For some time now we have been calling Virgo the Rainbow Bridge of Healing into Wholeness.

This Mutable Earth sign (adaptability) is the bridge between the personal signs (Aries to Leo)
and the interpersonal social signs (Libra to Aquarius).

Opposite Virgo is Pisces, Mystical Union with Source, and where the Rainbow Bridge leads us to.

Currently Neptune (illusion or illumination) and Chiron (healing the world wound) are both in Pisces.

Chiron is one of the planetary guides for this Mercury retrograde in Virgo journey.

So this Mercury retrograde journey is offering us all the opportunity to heal into wholeness.

ALL OF US.

The astrological symbol for this feminine/Yin sign of Virgo is The Virgin, at one-ness-within.
She is linked to the Temple Priestesses and one of her guides is Vesta/Hestia, the keeper of the Sacred Flame. Vesta symbolizes our commitment to our path of spiritual service.

Currently Vesta is at 12 degrees Virgo travelling with Mercury as he turns retrograde.

Virgo guides us to looking within and discovering what that path is.

Mercury Retrograde in Virgo is supporting us to go on that inner journey and connect with the healer we are. I love the synchronistic Universe.

Vesta has been visiting Virgo since July 17 and will be there until Sept 18. Mercury in Virgo leaves his retrograde shadow on Sept 19.

Together they are guiding us to find and live from our Sacred Center.

Earlier we mentioned Chiron in Pisces as an influence for this Mercury retrograde in Virgo.
I consider Chiron as a spiritual guide for planets visiting Virgo. His theme is always healing the spirit.

In Pisces he supports us on our journey of healing, forgiveness, and completion.
When we heal our own wounds we help to heal the world wound. Chiron too is retrograde
(July 01 to Dec 05) asking us to look deeply within and identify what we need to complete and release.

The Soul Centered planetary ruler of Virgo is The Moon. She is our guide to our intuitive wisdom.
She adds to the theme of mind, body, spirit healing. The Moon will continue to guide Mercury in Virgo during his retrograde journey and when he moves direct Sept 05 and stays in Virgo until Sept 29.

Just remember the Moon changes signs about every two and a half days so you might find
different issues coming forward to be healed.

The Moon rules the emotions but also our Soul’s Guidance.

Let your Essence Self show you the way.

In the Northern Hemisphere our Animal Totem guide for Mercury in Virgo is Brown Bear,
introspection, healing, and The Healer. For Chiron in Pisces the Totems are Cougar,
spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher who guides us through change.

They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere.

The Clan Mother for this Mercury in Virgo journey is Setting Sun Woman.
She is the Mother who teaches us the proper use of will and how TO LIVE THE TRUTH.
Human kind needs to learn those lessons and soon.

This Mercury in Virgo journey and spiritual ruler Chiron in Pisces activate the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit, introspection and personal integrity.

The theme is looking within to find your inner universe and discovering your connection to Source has never been lost.

The Ray energies are 6th Ray of Idealism and Devotion. (Be careful the ego does not turn that into dogma). The Archangels are Uriel, peace and harmony, and Aurora Grace, love and devotion.

Virgo and Pisces are also 2nd Ray signs, Divine Love Wisdom. Our Archangel guides are Jophiel,
the Light of the Divine within us, and Constance Christine, who guides us to Consistent Illumination.

One last note. As Mercury retrogrades today he is in Celestial Alignment with the Fixed Star Zosma, currently located at 11 degrees Virgo 33 minutes longitude.

This Star is in the Astronomical Constellation of Leo on the back of the Lion.

It symbolizes Victimisation.

It is linked to the labours of the hero Hercules but also the fall
of the Goddess centered beliefs and wisdom.

Bernadette Brady (Predictive Astrology) describes this Star’s influence as “The Wounded Healer;
learning that helping others also helps oneself.

To fight against that which disempowers an individual or a group.”

“To value one’s personal freedom, above all else, whether emotional, spiritual, or physical.”

Mercury will again align with this Star again on Sept 19 the day he leaves his retrograde shadow.
We will see where the world is then as a result of this Healing journey.
