Pluto Stationary, turning retrograde on April 29, 2022.

Lord of the Underworld, God of Death and Rebirth,
Pluto is the initiator of transformation and change.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology,
this is Osiris, the Lord of Regeneration who died not once but twice.

Emerging from his death comes new life, manifest as his son Horus,
the Young King (Jupiter in traditional astrology).

The three outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are significators
of major planetary change and this is certainly true of Pluto.

Pluto’s name is found in one of the primary ingredients of the atomic bomb
– plutonium.

When Pluto is stationary, it is not uncommon to experience global events
that instigate the destruction of existing structures
(volcanic eruptions, bombs, explosions).

This is painful energy, but also necessary.

If something new is to be built in place of something old,
the mechanism for change is often violent.

This particular Pluto station is the first in an important transit phase
– the United States Pluto Return
- that began on February 2, 2020
and continues through 2023.

Pluto is transiting the position it occupied when the US was born
on July 4, 1776.

This is a not an individual transition
but rather a transformation of society.

Not all countries last long enough to have a Pluto Return.

It is a testament to the US system that we’re still here,
some 246 years after our birth.

And, this transit inevitably brings a journey through the Underworld,
a Dark Night of the Soul.

The United States is being challenged to examine its own darkness
and to redefine itself based on what we collectively discover.

The significance of this time should not be minimized.

What happens in the next two years will be the catalyst
for events far into the future.

Pluto will turn direct on October 8, 2022.
