Eugenia Newman April 26 at 2:43 PM · So Friday evening while I was sitting in my car in the driveway, this little guy came walking from between my house and my neighbors. I thought perhaps he was taking a shortcut and cut through our backyards. So I just waved at him, but when he saw me wave, his eyes connected with mine, his face lit up and he stopped to come and talk to me. I said "Hi" and asked him how he was doing. His reply ... "I'm looking for a new house to live in". Naturally, I was puzzled, and asked him to repeat that. I asked if he was serious, along with a series of questions. He said he had just been walking because his bike broke, but he was lost and didn't know where he lived. At first, I started looking around and locked my doors, rolled up my passenger window because I wondered if he could have been distracting me for someone to come and carjack me. The whole conversation is too long for me to dictate but once I knew he was serious, I told him that he couldn't just go around and live in ANYBODY'S home because it might not be safe. I asked him if I could call for help, he said "Yes, but I don't want the police". This triggered more questions, and it turned out that he didn't want to go back to his foster home. I asked him if we both talked to the police together for help, would that be okay and he agreed. Sure enough, I called 911 and this baby had been reported missing. That's when I told him to get in the car with me to warm up because it was getting cold and he had apparently been gone for a while. We chatted with the police for a while, about some things he said was happening in the home, and when it was time to leave he asked the officer "Can she come too?" OMG ... it broke my heart! Anyway Guys ... This is 10 yr old Samuel. He's a very sweet , kind, and very articulate little boy. I don't know what landed him in foster care, but I DO know that "can" be an unthinkable situation to be in for those of us who have come from stable homes. Please join me in praying that this child will NOT be another casualty of the system! But that Gods hand will cover, protect and guide him throughout his life. That Gods love for Samuel would be manifested to him by those that are placed in his life, and that he would grow to be a thriving, productive, balanced young man to live a beautiful life and see all that God has for him! #PrayForSamuel #IGaveHimMyLastHoneycrispApple Eugenia Newman April 26 at 2:43 PM ·
As, a highly sensitive empathic person, i see folks posting for spiritual support... sometimes, i hear 'The Whispers of folks on The Wind"... although they are NOT brave enough to post online their messages come to me, loud 'n clearly !!! I KNOW that when someone asks you 'to pray for them', they ask you, because they KNOW, that prayers are to be free and, that prayers should be given 'n granted wholeheartedly! A similar post to this came across my feeds, and, i choose to share it, because, i am also in need of some prayers, like so many others. i am alone, and, i have NO family ~fortunately, i've built a pretty good group online SO, how about me make it THE FiRST THiNG everyday, and, LET US ALL PRAY, for EACH OTHER !!! iT SHOULD BE VERY EASY, FUN AND SIMPLE TO ASK THAT OUR FAMILIES 'N FRIENDS exercise levels of being caring, considerate, generous, kind, and, thoughtful to each other... simply copy & paste this status to your profile Create a good prayer for all of those special people in your life, that sometimes suffer from things they do NOT talk about... to those who are having family problems, to those who are suffering health issues, to those who are having work related problems, to those who are having depressed thoughts, always KNOW, you can reach out, and, talk to someone... KNOW THiS...someone will listen !!! KNOW THiS...someone does care !!!
