Jon Ruthven Genealogy
Here's my personal genealogy beginning with Leofwine, ca. AD 1000.
The Viking invader apparently brought the name,
Ruthven, from his original home, Roedven on the S. coast of what is now Norway
(Lat: 62 37'27.05" Lon: 7 29'37.48" in Google Earth).
Many older histories confuse Leofwine with his grandson, Thor,
whom they incorrectly claim began the Ruthven line.
My son, Jon Michael Ruthven,
appears to be the direct descendant over 30 generations from the earliest family ancestor,
Leofwine.
