– Mars returns to Aquarius after a month-long retrograde into Capricorn,
and the square to Uranus (in effect since May) tightens once again.

The pressure is intensifying, and we can expect geologic, political,
social and – if this aspect is hitting your natal chart
– personal eruptions.

While the unpredictability of this square is difficult, a shift is coming.

Mars and Saturn are both direct and Venus has entered
an extended sojourn through passionate Scorpio.

The stuck feeling will gradually dissipate,
along with the feeling of pressure building with no relief.

In the language of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, Mars is Set,
the Warrior King. Set is both the loyal protector of Ra
during his nightly journey through the underworld
as well as the irrational murderer of his brother Osiris.

In the latter story, Set is the Warrior Run Amok – cruel and untrustworthy.

In our psyche, Set is the shadow.

Most people are not comfortable with warrior energy
or with conflict, reacting with rage, pacification
or resentment expressed as passive aggression.

While the square between Mars/Set and Uranus/Wadjet
is unpredictable and intense, Set in the emanation of Ptah
(aligned with Aquarius) is the Visionary Warrior.

Ptah creates Heaven and Earth through the words that he speaks,
and – most importantly - his tongue is connected to his heart.

This is a powerful message for the new age we are rapidly manifesting.

Thought creates action; loving and beautiful creations r
equire a strong connection between heart and mind.

Mars/Set in the emanation of Aquarius/Ptah will provide
an opportunity for creative action based on vision.

"September 9 – New Moon in Virgo at 2:01 pm EDT; Venus enters Scorpio.


Virgo and Scorpio have much in common.

In Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, these are both priestesses
– Virgo is Nekhbet, the Crone Priestess; Scorpio is Bast, the Sacred Sexual Priestess.

They represent two phases of feminine power
– one through the healing power of sexual expression;
the other through the grounding strength of the wise woman.

A New Moon is the beginning of a 28-day phase focused around a theme.

Virgo’s greatest strength is in prioritizing.

“This is important, this is not.” With the shift of Venus – Isis, the Queen of Heaven
– into passionate Scorpio/Bast, what needs attention is a deep examination of values;
what we want to receive.

This operates both on a collective and personal level.

As we enter this next moon phase, Venus/Isis forms a challenging relationship
– a t-square – with the on-going square of Mars/Set to Uranus/Wadjet.

September 6, 2018 – Last night Mercury moved into Virgo and into relationship to Regulus.

Thoth, the Sacred Scribe, is in the emanation of Nekhbet, the Crone Priestess.

Mercury/Thoth – consciousness and communication, and Virgo/Nekhbet
pure expression and service.Together these two provide an opportunity to be clear,
concise and clean in our thinking and communication.

The great star Regulus, one of the four Royal Stars of Persia and Watcher of the North,
moved into the earth sign Virgo in 2011.

It is rare for a prominent star to move from one sign to another.

Much of what has taken place on Earth since then can be in some way ascribed
to the subtle influence of this great star.

Regulus is the Heart of the Nemean Lion, killed by Heracles as the first of 12 tasks.

Some mythologists have related this story to the ascendancy of the patriarchy
and the accompanying destruction of the goddess cults of the ancient world.

The movement of the star most closely aligned with the Heart of the Great Lion
into the feminine earth sign Virgo/Nekhbet mirrors an on-going re-balancing
of yin and yang energies on this planet.

A realignment of the opposing forces of receptivity and action is key to the survival of our planet.

These two are a polarity and one is not more important than the other.

A Sacred Contract between the two was broken centuries ago; we are ready for a new commitment.

This transit is accompanied by a station of Saturn/Sobek
– the Old King – in a challenging relationship to Chiron/Anubis
– the abandoned child who transcends his wounds and connects with his greater purpose.

Use the sojourn of Mercury/Thoth through Virgo/Nekhbet to empower your own intuitive
and receptive qualities and bring them into right relationship with your actions in the world.

September 2, 2018 - Saturn is slowing to station.

For the last two months Saturn has been in a challenging relationship (a square) to Chiron.

In traditional astrology Saturn is the principle of contraction; Chiron is the Wounded Healer.

This transit brings forth the Perpetrator/Victim relationship.

In Greek mythology, Saturn is Kronos
– the father who is so afraid his children will usurp his power he swallows them whole.

Chiron is an abandoned child, a centaur who grows up to be one of the most respected beings
on Mt. Olympus.

In Egyptian mythology, Saturn is Sobek, the Old King who does not want to give up his power.

Chiron is Anubis, the abandoned child who becomes the guide to the newly deceased
into the underworld and then to the Duat, the Egyptian version of heaven.

Both mythologies describe the process whereby the painful abandonment
of a child by a parent is transcended.

This story resonates because most of us have been abandoned in some way.

Some abandonments are obvious while others are subtle.

And all of us have experienced the pain of not being seen, wanted, valued and cherished.

Saturn/Sobek is always powerful when he is stationary; we feel stuck, restricted
and constricted in some part of our life.

Forward movement is difficult.

We are being given an opportunity to meditate upon some life situation
defined by a long-held belief from the past that is no longer useful.

This is an internal process well worth attention.

The Old King is dying and it is time for the Victim
to redefine themselves so that they may step into personal power.

Saturn/Sobek turns direct on September 6 and will remain stationary through the 12th.

With the recent station of Mars/Set, a subtle tide is changing away from stasis
toward forward movement.

Saturn is visible in the night sky to the south. Feel his power;
release your fear and your attachment.
