Mayan Prophecy

The topic of this presentation is the Mayan 2012 prophesies: I will focus on the ancient beliefs about the shifting of the Mayan Long count (5,125.25 year cycle) on December 21, 2012 when the plane of the Milky Way will be parallel with our solar system's plane (creating a V shape between the galaxies and the energy and will cross between two parallel planes of stars in the shape of a Tree. The frequency of energy will increase and the sun will be in the center of the cross. (Cruz) The Tree of Life! The energy will be very strong and will make people become crazy. It will be like seeing people with episodes of Schizophrenia or Bipolar illnesses walking around without direction. People will be confused and afraid. The Bipolar and Schizophrenic are very special because they have been dealing with this condition all of their lives.

These people will be our helpers during the changes, because they have had to learn to live with it. They will be focused on the changes, and on the new beginnings.

If you see some of the homeless people walking by you, please show them respect because they are living the way they know best, and are preparing themselves to live in harmony with mother earth.

As an example: with the destruction of the Twin Towers in NYC the whole world was very scared and was going mad. I would say that for me it was extremely stressful, because when I heard the news, one of my sons was in Wisconsin, and many friends were in NY.

Now the elders are opening their knowledge to the world, to advise and prepare the youth to deal with these changes.

We (the elders) know where the information comes from. There are people who are writing books with the wrong information. (A Warning & A Reminder to check in with the Mayan Elders when reading non-Mayans' ideas about 2012 & the Mayan Calendar.)

The year 2012 gets closer and closer and there are more and more people coming out with all kinds of theories and a myths regarding what is going to happen around Solstice December 21, 2012.

I am conducting this lecture in the way I hear it, from my grandmothers and elders of the community before I moved to the outskirts of Guatemala City in the 1950's.

When we arrived in Guatemala City we lived in a large tent in the outskirts of the city, with many different tribes, with different cultures, languages and religion. Every night after dinner the elders had a circle talk and were telling stories about the 2012 legacy that our ancestors had left for us.

They talked and talked about this, and that. I did not pay much attention when I was young. But just after I finished school, I went to Lake Atitlan to work for 3 months to do my social services in teaching Spanish at San Antonio Palopo, around the most beautiful lake in the world. I stayed there 5 years, and also worked as a fourth man construction worker for a 3 floor colonial style hotel. "Terrazas del Lago Atitlan".

The Lake Atitlan is in the heart of my beloved country!

Here is the place where you find Traditional Mayan society. The lake is about the size of Lake Tahoe in California; around the lake are 12 villages with different culture, different clothing, and languages. They have three main languages; the main dominant language around the lake is Z'utujil language, Kakchikel, and Kiche Language.

This is the place where I learned to love and respect my culture, where I found love, respect for nature and peace. Here in the long nights when the workers went home, my assistant and I swam every day after 4pm to get crabs for our dinner. Francisca Xicay was only 10 years old and she was my informant and passed me the information about the village that I needed to be able to survive the cultural differences, and the language. I was teaching her Spanish and she helped me with the Kakchikel language. We saw many strange things about the culture in this town and had the opportunity to see the Kukulkan Serpent.

One afternoon when we were swimming and collecting crabs for our dinner we saw the Kukulkan Serpent. Francisca did not want to talk about that, she said that I should go to the elders and talk with them. Because I was an outsider and I knew that they would not tell me anything, I continued my work without asking any questions regarding the Serpent.

Every year fishermen disappeared. Everybody thought that perhaps they had fallen asleep and drowned; others said that the creature from the lake had come to get her price.

As a young woman in my late twenties, I was skeptical in believing in the stories of the Kukulkan Kalmeka who lived in the lake. But many times I saw her swimming. She was so big that she could swallow many people at once.

Anyway, this lake is the first sign the elders became aware of because in the 1920's the lake went dark and people drank from the lake. People knew that changes were needed, and moved to the highland places. Now it is very dark again and people are worried about it because they know that we humans must change our evil ways, and respect mother earth.

We are not doing enough to have harmony, respect for all living things. Instead we are walking around complaining for not having what others have, and being envious, full of rage, and wanting to consume more that we already have. This behavior is hurting us.

Elders in general will be worrying for the next two years, reminding to people to respect differences, because these differences make the world more interesting, and special.

They want this world to continue for the next generations.

This Pentagram is also a diagram of the Great Cycle of about 26,000 years, divided into 5 sub-Cycles. Each sub-Cycle is equal to a Mayan Long Count. According to the Jnanna Yoga teachings of India regarding Yugas, we are currently at 7 o'clock on the Diagram. The current Long Count starting at V3 ending V9 (3114 BCE & 2012 CE)

From Hindu Vedanta, the Length of the Epoch of Yugas is explained by Sri Yukteswar of the Babaji Lineage of Yoga (India). According to Sri Yukteswar we are currently (2012 CE) in the ascending 313 Dwapara Yuga (Point C in diagram). Yogananda brought the teachings of the Yogic lineage to the west.

In Figure 4, the Great Cycle is also divided into 12 parts, showing the Precession of the Equinox through the Zodiac. The Earth is entering the Age of Aquarius.

Comments:
The Mayan Calendar is a true Treasure of the World's Indigenous People.

It is on par with any of Science's Great Historic Breakthroughs.

Do Not be fooled by the Media's downplay of the Significance of the Mayan Calendar.

It is only out of Sheer Ignorance.

The Book of Revelation, in the Christian Bible discusses the 7 seals
before End Times & the re-appearance of the Messiah.

Counting from the Baktun of Yah'shua ben Yosef Ha Mashyiach {Jesus} there are 6 Baktuns that each fit the Description of the Seals in Revelation. Implying 12/21/2012 is the opening of the 7th Seal. Note: Each Baktun has 144,000 Days.

Islamic Prophecy contains teachings of the End Times as well.

The peak of these times is the appearance of the Mahedhi who plays a parallel role in Islam as the Mashyiach for the Jew & Christian. Muhammad prophesied the Mahedhi comes at the time of Mashyiach. He will unite the divisions within Islam & create an Islamic Nation that functions along side Israel.

The prophesies of Maasaw of the Hopi & Kukulkan (Quetzalcoatl) of the Maya
plays a similar role of redemption & unification and time of peace.

In fact many such indigenous prophesies exist simultaneously.

The prophecies of the redemption of Tibet are analogous
