When Women Were Proud To Be Beautiful Feminine Women

Oh, how I remember
being born in the late 50s
of, the days when women
were actually product to be women !!!

and, they were NOT only beautiful,
but, they were feminine too !!!

They woove happiness into making a house, a home...
they loved caring for their family,
and, they loved taking a house,
and, turning it, into a home.

They were happy being at home...
bringing in a radio, or a tv
created an ambiance of being able to:
ON DEMAND - listen to music

We set our lives to music.

We are ALL NOTES in THE SONG, just different melodies.

Magic is, what magic does...
but, it is always, and, in all ways better
if you set it to music !!!

Back in the 60s, people took pride in their appearances...
they actually enjoyed dressing up, and, going out...
or, just dressing up, and, stayed home !!!

Keeping an orderly home, as, NOT always an easy task...
however, if your husband was a hard working man,
there was always enough.

You got up...and, you fixed yourself up !!!

There was NONE of this lounge around in your PJS...
and, NEVER made your bed !!!

These were the days,
that you made your bed
and, you took responsiblitie to also lie in it...
life was NOT perfect,
but, life was wonderful !!!

A lot of women, still stayed home...
and, when their husbands came home,
they made sure, they also looked good !!!

Women worked very very hard to keep a beautiful home...
and, they were NEVER paid for doing that hard work,
it was JUST expected of them !!!

Men with 'average' jobs
were able to provide a good home, a decent car,
and, 1 or 2 tmes a year ~ a vacation...
EVERYONE had some 'great clothes'
and, it was all done, with just ONE person at work.


And, you NEVER went to any community function,
even shopping without getting dressed up,
and, putting on some makeup/or lipstick,
as, well as, some perfume !!!

You went to pay your last respects to someone
at a funeral home, with a suit & your best hat !!!

WOW...life was so different.

There was NO distracting cell phone,
you went out on a date
and, you enjoyed the company of another person.

There was NO call waiting,
you got on the phone,
talked, made arrangements in less than 5 minutes
and, got off the phone, and, got on with living and with life !!!

Maybe, just maybe
we need a return to that type of life,
and, then, we'd have time to do 'real' living

Oh, how I long for the days
when women were proud to be beautiful feminine women.

They were happy being at home caring for her home and family.

Sometimes a harder job than their money making husband,
but they were most always dressed to the nines even if
they never left the house that day.

She was all done up if she left the house and wanted to look her best
when her man got home.

She was proud to be a woman and was proud of her family
which she worked her ass off for with no monetary compensation.

Her husband, even with an average paying job could provide
that home, car, vacation and great clothes for his wife,
all on one income.

He never went to work or any community function without a suit and hat on.

It was a great time. I only lived in the tail end of that era
but I'd go back to those ways in a heartbeat.
