Ironically, we got some family trips
1965, Down East, pq/pei/new brunswick, pei, down to nyc, maine, new hampshire, vermont, pa, and, new york state and ontario !!!
A camping trip with THE SMiTHS for 6 weeks

1966, little lake (where i drown / major NDE)

1967, MANIWAKI with Gramps /Chief Wm. Commanda Gathering

1968, out west

1971, florida
Having my beloved cat, surrendered to a shelter
but, buying a cottage was the end of trips !!!
And, from 1973
age 14/15 i got a job, so, when everyone went to the cottage,
i stayed in TORONTO, aka The Big Smoke alone...
funny thing, i have NO memories OF driving to The Cottage
after the summers of 1971 (12/13), and, 1972 (13/14).

Discoveries at a death bed
~yikes, after both trips, i returned home
to find my beloved pet was NO longer there ???
but, it was NOT until 2013, that i discovered why
~yikes, TRULY a SAD part of my own story !!!

FAMILY TRIPs,
many TIMES, in my 20s, 30s, and, 40s
i suggested this,
was something we should do as a family
however,
it just drew a lot of sideways looks,
and, when you saw those types of looks,
it was a very good idea,
to get out of Dodge,
and, do that fast !!!

i did throw a 25th anniversary party for my parents
in1981, however, in the process a lot of well meaning people,
tried to tell me every reason on earth,
it wouldn't work

- WOW, i am glad i did NOT listen to the nay-sayers.
