Sunday Night - See the Super Flower Moon and a "Blood Moon" Eclipse!

Tonight (Sunday night) and stretching into early Monday, a blood red moon will cross the night sky.

This moon will be blocked from the sun by Earth and cast into shadow.

This will be the longest lunar eclipse this decade.

May’s Flower Moon name should be no surprise, flowers bloom across North America this month!

"Flower Moon” has been attributed to Algonquin peoples, as confirmed by Christina Ruddy of The Algonquin Way Cultural Centre

in Pikwakanagan, Ontario.

Here are some other names for May’s full moon:

More on the eclipse: During an 85-minute total lunar eclipse, from 11:29 p.m. to 12:54 a.m. EDT,

the blood moon—also a supermoon, or near its closest point to Earth

—will be bathed in the red glow of light filtered through Earth’s atmosphere. Sky watchers in most of North America will be able to see at least a part of it.

Sorpio full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse

We live in a magical Universe filled with amazing experiences.

This Full Moon is definitely amazing.

It is an opportunity to heal and release the past and experience transformation and re-birth.

The Moon is at 25 degrees Scorpio (healing and release)
travelling with the Earth at 25 degrees Scorpio (earth renewal)
and the South Node at 22 degrees Scorpio (healing and releasing the wounds of the past).

The North Node is at 22 degrees Taurus (new directions)
guiding the Sun at 25 degrees Taurus (what is of true value and importance in our lives).

As we have mentioned before on Jan 18, 2022
of this year the Moon’s Nodes entered Taurus and Scorpio activating this theme.

In Esoteric Astrology the signs of Taurus and Scorpio are found on the 4th Ray of Harmony
through conflict or through beauty and peace.

Full Moons are the time of blossoming but also completion.

They stir the emotions and with the Moon in Scorpio, shadow wounds.

This is a Super Moon (when the Moon is closer to Earth)
and a Total Lunar Eclipse when the Moon enters Earth’s shadow and appears red.

If the skies are clear of Cloud People those living in North and South America
will visually see the Moon turn red.

For Eastern time zone that will be between 11.29 pm May 15 and 12.54 am May 16, 2022.

It will stir your Soul.

And it will be AMAZING on a Soul level.

The Moon/Earth/South Node are guided by Pluto Rx
at 28 degrees Capricorn (healing and transformation, personally and universally).

The Esoteric ruler of Scorpio is Mars at 23 degrees Pisces
travelling with Neptune at 24 degrees Pisces (mystical connection).

These two powerful agents of change are sextile (opportunities for new doorways to open) each other.

Mars and Neptune are Trine the Scorpio trio (removal of obstacles)
and sextile The North Node and Sun in Taurus (new opportunities).

Pluto is sextile the Scorpio Moon and trine the North Node and Sun in Taurus.

Venus the ruler of Taurus is at 15 degrees Aries (personal empowerment)
and she is travelling with Chiron, the healer, at 14 degrees Aries (finding new healing solutions).

The only real challenge is from Saturn at 24 degrees Aquarius (limitation and restriction),

He is Square the Full Moon but Squares are motivation for change and finding new ways of doing things.

Uranus at 15 degrees Taurus (breaking through to what is of true value and importance)
is the ruler of Saturn.

This Full Moon Eclipse completes the lessons we have been working on
since the Taurus Full Moon Eclipse of 19 Nov 2021.

The theme was focusing on what is of true value and importance.

That was a partial Eclipse so not as powerful as this Scorpio Total Lunar Eclipse.

This is truly a Full Moon of transformation.

It is an echo of what we experienced on 15 May 2003
when we had a Scorpio Total Lunar Eclipse at 24 degrees Scorpio.

Think back.

Is there anything you still need to release from that time?

Scorpio can hold onto things long after they no longer serve us.

Time to let go and this Full Moon is perfect to do so.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at Scorpio 25°17’, May 16, 2022, at 12:13 am EDT.
Scorpio Full Moons are always intense and this one is a doozy.
This will be a Total Lunar Eclipse, visible over a wide area, including most of the United States.
This eclipse is the exit from the portal between two phases of experience.
Our last phase lasted from December 4 to April 30; this next phase will last from May 16 to October 25.

This eclipse initiates the final chapter of the Saturn/Uranus square.
The chart for this Full Moon is dominated by a T-square involving Saturn and the Sun/Moon opposition.
The last square between Saturn and Uranus will take place from August through mid-November.
The relationship between these two can be thought of as a birth process – one which began in January 2021
and is now coming to term. Something intense is building under the surface and will erupt in September and October.
The other dominating transit of recent times has been the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces.
Jupiter has now moved into Aries – a very different sort of expression for the principle of expansion. Mars
– the god of war
– is now in alignment with Neptune.
The Pisces warrior is happiest when enforcing peace but will attack when feeling overwhelmed and confused.
Mercury is retrograde in Gemini. Mercury turns direct on June 3, in a square to Saturn
- another incremental step toward the fourth and final phase of the Saturn/Uranus square.
We are building toward something – a grand finale of energies that have been gestating since January 2021.

Get ready! Total Solar Eclipse New Moon Friday night in the US 11:33 pm PST and 8:33 am Saturday morning in Europe. Even though the eclipse is only visible over the southern part of the earth, it is felt by all, including the waters of tides of the Earth and within our bodies and psyches. The eclipse is visible in Antarctica, the southern tips of South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
The eclipse is aligned with the constellation Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer. Ophiuchus holds the double serpent symbols of wisdom and power, so it’s good to use this New Moon Eclipse to set our visions and clarify our focus.
My astrologer friend Pam Gregory pointed out that the Sun and Moon at 12° Sagittarius and Mercury close at 15° Sag. are aligned with the Great Attracter, a massive black hole region in our galaxy which Pam calls a cosmic vacuum cleaner, cleaning the old belief systems that no longer serve. The eclipse forms an inconjunct with Uranus, a powerful angle which can excite electromagnetic flux and an increase in photon emissions.
In my mind, the obscuration of light during eclipses is like a blank 35mm film negative ready for a new imprint. Eclipses are powerful moments out of time and have been studied for millennia by many ancient cultures. Certain megalithic sites such as Snake Mound and Cahokia in the US and Avebury and Stonehenge, England, were designed with both Lunar and Solar alignments. This allowed ancient people to predict the timing of eclipses.
The late astronomer Gerald Hawkins studied many of these sites and discovered that sites like Stonehenge are giant stone computers to predict the heavenly movements. (See Hawkins’ book ‘Stonehenge Decoded’ and Pam Gregory’s monthly forecasts on Youtube)
