ANSWER:
no you can't right now

  Hwy 1 IS shut down near Golden
  (I think they do let alternating traffic thru at times)
  Hwy 93 shut down between Radium and Banff, ALBERTA
  If you go Hwy 1 to Revelstoke, turn south and over the Kootney and Arrow lakes ferries,
  into Creston and thru Cranbrook, Crowsnest then north back up thru Calgary, ALBERTA
  you can get to Edmonton, ALBERTA
  but THAT would be a hella long drive.
