    The last three days we've been watching them try to elect a Speaker.
    There has been lots of talk about how this is the first time in a long time
    that there has been debate on the floor.

    I don't know about the rest of you, but to me, it doesn't look like debate.

    Rather, it looks like a lot of threats and intimidation.

    I learned that debating was listening and backing up your position
    and trying to convince the other side that there is truth in your opinion.

    I never learned that debating was about threats, yelling, pointing fingers and intimidation.

    I was always taught that this type of behavior was what children do when they don't get their way.
