   The virus that SARS-CoV-2 is supposed to have evolved
   from looks unmistakably artificial
   — in sections it contains far too many “mutations”
   that matter but hardly any of the normal noise o
   f silent mutations which always occur naturally alongside
   the mutations which change the end product.
   
   Like someone cut and pasted multiple photos together
   with different background noise.
   
   Other sections of the code which ought to mutate quickly
   are suspiciously identical and unchanged,
   and didn’t mutate at all.
   
   (In the wild there is little selective pressure on something
   called “E Proteins” and they vary a lot in other coronaviruses.
   
   They are already mutating fast in the pandemic
   but somehow were “frozen” in time in RaTG13.)
   
   Dr. Shi Zhengli is known as the Bat Woman of Wuhan Virology.
   
   We’ve already heard how her lab was central to research
   on Coronaviruses and how she and others were
   ordered to destroy all copies of the laboratory viruses
   on Jan 2nd this year in what appears to be a mass cover up.
   
   A string of papers were released in February claiming
   the Wuhan Virus was “96% related” to a known Bat Coronavirus
   and was therefore natural
   (see Zhao et al 2020, Shan-Lu Liu, 2020,
   Andersen et al 2020).
   
   Two of these papers appeared in Nature.
   But what we didn’t know was that the RNA sequence
   for the original bat Coronavirus that the new pandemic evolved from,
   which was called RaTG13, was only registered on Jan 27th this year,
   despite it supposedly being discovered in 2013.
   
   The first Nature paper appeared only 6 days later.
   
   So much for Peer Review…
   No one has a sample of that virus, no one else has sequenced it,
   and it, as Steven Mosher says may only exist
   “in a string of letters on her computer”.
   
   NerdHasPower describes how easy it is to create
   a “natural bat virus” that matches the Wuhan virus:
   
   Can the sequence of such a virus be fabricated?
   
   It cannot be any easier.
   
   It takes a person less than a day to TYPE such a sequence
   (less than 30,000 letters) in a word file.
   
   And it would be a thousand times easier
   if you already have a template that is about 96% identical
   to the one you are trying to create.
   
   Once the typing is finished,
   one can upload the sequence onto the public database.
   
   Contrary to general conception,
   such database does not really have a way
   to validate the authenticity or correctness
   of the uploaded sequence.
   
   It relies completely upon the scientists themselves
   – upon their honesty and consciences.
   
   Once uploaded and released, such sequence data
   becomes public and can be used legitimately
   in scientific analysis and publications.
   
   NerdHasPower, with several helpers, shows there are sections
   which are missing the silent mutations which would normally
   occur in a virus due to natural mutation.
   
   Think of these as the noise that should be there,
   but isn’t.
   
   The lack of this background noise shows the mutations
   were “designed” by the hand of man (or woman, in this case)
   with an aim in mind.
   
   He points out that scientists like Zhengli w
   ould not sit on a hot new natural bat virus
   like RaTG13 for six or seven long years without publishing it.
   
   The first thing they would do is analyze it for sequences
   that show whether it would bind to human ACE2 receptors like SARS did
   — making it a potential human threat.
   
   It’s exactly the kind of discovery researchers are hunting for,
   the kind that make that researcher a highly cited, author.
   
   As an expert as Shi is, she only needed to take one peek
   at the sequence of RaTG13’s RBD and immediately realize:
   
   this virus closely resembles SARS in its RBD
   and has a clear potential of infecting humans.
   
   If Shi’s public statement is true and she indeed intends
   to discover bat coronaviruses with a potential to cross-over to humans,
   how could she possibly overlook this extremely interesting finding
   of RaTG13?
   
   If this RaTG13 was discovered SEVEN years ago in 2013,
   why did Shi not publish this astonishing finding earlier
   and yet let the “less-attractive” viruses take the stage?
   
   Why did she decide to publish such a sequence only
   when the current outbreak took place
   and people started questioning the origin of the Wuhan coronavirus?
   
   None of these makes sense.
   
   These facts only add to the suspicion
   – Zhengli Shi either was directly involved
   in the creation of this virus/bioweapon, or helped cover it up, or both.
   
   Steven Mosher has done a masterful job of explaining
   the whole story of the master code cracking done by NerdHasPower,
   who published in Chinese and English
   and who says only he is “A Nobody Scientist”.
   
   Presumably honest Chinese scientists need to be nobodies.
   Was the coronavirus created by Chinese scientist who tried to cover her tracks – and failed?
   
   Steven Mosher:
   To reinforce the “Wet Market” cover story, namely,
   that this new pathogen had come from nature
   and not from her lab, something had to be done.
   
   And it had to be done quickly, since by then the China Coronavirus
   had spread to the rest of the world.
   
   Anger against China for its lack of transparency
   about the origins and characteristics of the virus was growing.
   
   The similarity between the two coronaviruses
   —including their common ability to infect humans
   –would greatly reinforce [Dr Shi Zhengli's]
   story that the SARS-CoV-2 had jumped
   from a bat to a human,
   perhaps through some intermediate species at the Wuhan wet market.
   
   So, all Dr. Shi had to do was sit down
   before her computer keyboard, open a word file,
   and begin to fabricate the SARS-CoV-2 analogue
   that she would claim to have found in nature seven years before.
   
   All she had to do was type in the genetic sequence of her own creation,
   SARS-CoV-2, changing a few nucleotides now and again
   to mimic the “random mutations” that regularly occur in nature.
   
   She could easily have completed the “data entry”
   part of her task in a day, since all she was doing
   was entering in a string of letters alternating
   between the four nucleotides, A, U, G, and C.
   
   And coronaviruses contain less than 30,000 different nucleotides.
   
   Dr. Shi registered her new virus on January 27th, 2020,
   with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)
   of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the customary repository
   for such information.
   
   She called it RaTG-13, Ra for Rhinolophus affinis,
   the Latin name of the Intermediate Horseshoe Bat,
   and 13 for 2013, the year she supposedly “discovered” it.
   
   A lot of people have been taken in by Dr. Shi’s clever “discovery,”
   which is looking more and more like a forgery.
   
   No one else has independently verified its existence.
   
   No other lab has a sample of it, and no one else has ever sequenced it.
   
   And of course, they likely never will,
   because more and more evidence suggest
   that it exists only in a string of letters on her computer.
   The case of the missing silent mutations
   
   NerdHasPower has shown that the changes
   that supposedly occurred by natural mutation
   from the wild RaTG13 virus to the SARS-Cov-2 virus
   have a very unnatural pattern.
   
   The code for RNA is a string of four letters A, T, C and G.
   
   Each Coronavirus is a string of these letters 29,000 bases long.
   
   It is the same code as all life on Earth
   (or it wouldn’t be able to be used inside our cells).
   
   The string is read as three letter codons (Eg: ATG, or ATC).
   
   Each three letter codon is translated into one particular amino acid,
   but there is redundancy built in to the code.
   
   So often one letter of each codon can mutate
   but still code for the same amino acid.
   
   This protects the code, so that most mutations
   won’t change the end product.
   
   They are “silent” mutations which don’t change the end product
   – they are the spelling error that can’t be heard
   — like reading Cat and Kat.
   
   (Synonymous mutants don’t change the meaning)
   
   Steven Mosher:
   In nature, the ratio of synonymous to non-synonymous
   is approximately 5:1.
   
   Here’s where Dr. Shi got into trouble.
   
   When typing in the genomic sequence
   of her “discovery” she made way too many non-synonymous changes
   at the beginning.
   
   Then, one-third of the way through the sequence,
   she apparently realized her error.
   
   After that, she made way too few non-synonymous changes.
   
   So while the entire genome has the expected 5:1 ratio,
   there are stretches where the ratio is closer to 2:1,
   and other long stretches where it is as high as 44:1.
   
   Nature’s mutations are random.
   
   Dr. Shi’s “mutations” are not.
   
   Dr. Lawrence Sellin has calculated that the odds
   that her “mutations” occurred naturally in just one area
   
   —the critical spike protein
   
   –at almost ten million to one.

   Dr Anthony Fauci sent $US to do this work in China.
   
   Steven Mosher on Fauci’s role:
   
   …here is one thing about Dr. Shi’s research
   that we do know with absolute, ironclad certainty:
   
   The U.S. was helping to fund it.
   
   From 2013 onwards, the National Institute of Allergies
   and Infectious Diseases, run by the now-famous Dr. Anthony Fauci,
   gave $7.4 million for research involving gain-of-function work
   and collecting and studying bat coronaviruses,
   $600,000 of which went to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
   
   Much of the rest went to other labs in China.
   
   If Dr. Fauci was as familiar with the Chinese Communist Party
   as he is with viruses, he would not have sent the Wuhan Institute
   of Virology one thin dime.
   
   He would have known that the PRC
   has a long-running program to develop bioweapons.
   
   He would have concluded that China’s only BSL-4 high containment lab
   was the obvious place to carry out at least some of this research.
   
   And he definitely did know that the “Gain-of-Function” research
   he was funding had the potential to create
   “Pathogens of Pandemic Potential”
   that might not be used for peaceful ends.
   NerdHasPower on the E proteins that don’t mutate
   
   The E protein of β coronaviruses is a structural protein
   that is tolerant of mutations as evidenced both in SARS
   and in bat coronaviruses.
   
   However, on the amino acid level, E protein
   of the Wuhan coronavirus identified at the beginning
   of the outbreak is 100% identical to those of the suspected templates,
   ZC45 and ZXC21 (Figure 4).
   
   What is striking is that, after a short two-months spread
   of the virus in humans, the E protein is already mutating.
   
   Sequence data obtained within the month of April
   indicate that mutations have occurred
   to four different locations (Figure 4).
   
   Note that the E protein makes very limited interactions
   with host proteins and thus is not under evolutionary pressure
   to adapt to a new host.
   
   Not only can the E protein tolerate mutations
   but also its mutational rate is held constant
   across different coronavirus species.
   
   The fact that the E protein of the Wuhan coronaviruses
   is already mutating in the short period of
   human-to-human transmission is consistent
   with its evolutionary feature.
   
   In stark contrast, while ZC45/ZXC21 and the Wuhan coronavirus
   are more distant evolutionarily, the E proteins within them
   are 100% identical.
   
   In no way this could be a result of natural evolution.
   
   Those who know genetics will get a lot out the collective investigation

   A scientist argues that the evidence for a “natural” origin
   for the virus is fabricated. Report: Claire Robinson
   
   An anonymous scientist[1] has published a detailed article
   arguing that SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing the COVID-19 pandemic,
   is a genetically engineered lab creation.
   What’s more, the author argues that the particular bat coronavirus
   from which SARS-CoV-2 is claimed to have naturally emerged
   – dubbed RaTG13 – is a fabrication.
   
   In other words, the author says the “natural origin”
   for the virus was made up in a desperate attempt
   to let those responsible for the lab escape off the hook.
   
   According to the author, the fabrication was perpetrated by Shi Zhengli,
   director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China.
   
   The WIV is only a few kilometres from the Wuhan seafood
   and wildlife market that was initially blamed for the outbreak.
   
   Zhengli has been dubbed by the media “the bat woman” for her role
   in collecting bat viruses from the wild for her “gain-of-function” research.
   
   “Gain-of-function” research seeks to make viruses more virulent or more transmissible
   – for instance, making a virus airborne or better adapted to different host species.
   
   Such research is not necessarily intended for bioweapons development
   – it’s supposedly intended to help develop vaccines and therapeutics
   for virus epidemics and for basic research on the behaviour of viruses.
   
   But it’s been fiercely criticized for decades by some scientists
   for posing huge risks to public health in return for little or no benefit.
   
   In fact, the author of the new article does suggest that SARS-CoV-2
   was developed as a bioweapon, though he doesn’t suggest
   that it was deliberately released as one.
   
   The new article, titled, “RaTG13 – the undeniable evidence that the
   Wuhan coronavirus is man-made”, appears on the “Nerd has Power” blog.
   
   The blog site doesn’t identify the author, so we’ll call him or her “Nerd”,
   
   and assume he’s male, for the purposes of this article.
   
   The article is technical in parts but Nerd does his best
   to make it accessible to the layperson by explaining
   every step of his logic, at the same time as giving definitions
   of scientific terms.
   
   In our experience, he succeeds, though non-scientists
   may need to read the technical parts with close attention,
   possibly more than once!
   
   The new article brings solid scientific evidence to the row
   that is raging over the origin of SARS-CoV-2.
   
   Some scientists have said that the virus is the result of natural evolution
   in animal or human hosts. But others have said that while natural emergence
   is possible, it’s also not possible to rule out a lab escape,
   either of a natural virus obtained from the wild for research,
   or even of a genetically engineered virus.
   
   As Nerd points out, all publications arguing for a natural origin for SARS-CoV-2
   rely on a single piece of evidence – the sequence of a purported natural
   bat coronavirus named RaTG13.
   
   RaTG13 looks like a “close cousin” of SARS-CoV-2
   – the two are 96% identical throughout the whole sequence of the viral genome.
   
   If RaTG13 is a natural virus, SARS-CoV-2 very likely also comes from nature
   and must share a recent common ancestor with RaTG13.
   
   Indeed, it has been argued by those in support of the natural origin
   of SARS-CoV-2 that the virus arose by the mutation of RaTG13
   in animal and/or human hosts.
   
   But there’s one major problem with the natural origin theory, according to Nerd:
   
   The RaTG13 virus isn’t real. It doesn’t exist as a “live” sample,
   only as a sequence of letters in a computer, which only in January this year,
   after the COVID-19 outbreak hit, was uploaded into a public database.
   
   Nerd believes that this sole evidence of its existence, its genetic sequence,
   was fabricated. And, he says, the major suspect in the fabrication is Shi Zhengli.
   
   We summarise below Nerd’s technical argument that SARS-CoV-2,
   as originally found in Wuhan, China, was genetically engineered.
   
   However, we strongly encourage readers to go to his full article, t

   Summary of Nerd’s argument that SARS-CoV-2 is genetically engineered
   
   1) Many mutations in natural evolution are single DNA or RNA nucleotide substitutions;
   that is, a change of a single base unit (nucleotide) in the order of the base units
   that constitutes the genetic material of the organism.
   
   (Note: The genetic material of coronaviruses is RNA, not DNA.)
   
   These random single nucleotide mutations
   within a protein-coding region of the genetic material
   of an organism can have one of two outcomes.
   
   Either it can have no effect on the genetic code
   and thus no effect on the order
   of amino acids in the corresponding protein
   – this is known as a “synonymous mutation”;
   or the single nucleotide change can alter the genetic code,
   leading to a change in the amino acid sequence of the protein
   for which it encodes, conferring in turn new properties to the protein
   
   – this is known as a “non-synonymous mutation”.
   
   2) There are strict rules that govern natural evolution
   through random single nucleotide mutation.
   
   In particular, typically the ratio
   between the number of synonymous mutations
   and that of non-synonymous mutations should be around 5:1;
   that is, 5 times more synonymous mutations
   than non-synonymous arise through this process.
   
   In other words there should be an amino acid change
   with every 6th single nucleotide mutation.
   
   3) If we consider the natural rates and patterns of mutational changes
   between two bona fide native bat coronaviruses identified by a lab in China
   that has a military background, ZC45 and ZXC21,
   everything is as predicted, in line with what
   we know about how viruses evolve in nature.
   
   The changes are consistent with what is expected when two lineages
   closely relate to each other evolutionarily and the differences
   in their sequences are the results of random mutations.
   
   The ratio between the number of synonymous mutations
   and that of non-synonymous mutations is around 5:1.
   
   4) But a comparison between SARS-CoV-2
   and its purported close relative RaTG13
   shows a pattern that’s completely inconsistent
   with natural evolution through single nucleotide substitution.
   
   The synonymous/non-synonymous mutation ratio is 44:1
   – wildly divergent from the 5:1 ratio expected from a natural evolution.
   
   5) Comparing SARS-CoV-2 and RaTG13, the whole spectrum of RNA sequence
   and amino acids have a very high similarity in every genomic region
   except in the S2 (Spike 2) half of the spike protein
   – which is very different.
   
   The S2 spike protein region doesn’t follow the evolutionarily predicted
   and observed frequency of synonymous and non-synonymous mutation rates
   for coronaviruses.
   
   Although there are 90 nucleotide differences
   there are only two amino acid substitutions
   rather than the 15 that would be expected.
   
   Thus there are far fewer amino acid substitutions
   compared with what should happen naturally.
   
   6) A safe conclusion to the above points is that,
   between SARS-CoV-2 and RaTG13, at least one is non-natural.
   
   If one is natural, then the other one must not be.
   
   It’s also possible that neither of them came from nature.
   
   7) The part of a virus that determines how good it is at infecting humans
   is the receptor binding domain (RBD) located in the S1 region
   of the spike protein
   located on the surface of the virus.
   
   The RBD dictates whether or not the virus can bind to the ACE2 receptor
   on the surface of human cells and thereby infect humans.
   
   This is the “business part” of the virus. If it’s not right, it won’t infect humans.
   
   If it is right, it will.
   
   8) If indeed RaTG13 is a fabrication, what are the bona fide bat viruses t
   hat are most closely related to the Wuhan SARS-CoV-2 virus
   and thus could be its “parents”?
   
   By comparing amino acid and nucleotide sequences,
   Nerd identifies the two bat coronaviruses reported in the scientific literature,
   ZC45 and ZXC21, as the closest fits. ZC45 and ZXC21
   are also remarkably similar to each other, with a 97% sequence identity.
   
   9) A comparison between the amino acid sequences
   of the Wuhan SARS-CoV-2 virus as originally described
   and the ZC45 and ZXC21 viruses shows a remarkable identity
   in all but one crucial region.
   
   In the majority of the virus there is 95% amino acid sequence identity,
   but there is one crucial region where they are strikingly dissimilar,
   with only 69% identity.
   
   That is the S1 region of the spike protein that harbours the RBD.
   
   Given the very high identity in all other regions of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
   when compared with ZC45 and ZXC21, it is highly improbable
   that such a huge difference in just the S1 part of the spike protein
   of SARS-CoV-2 could have arisen naturally over the timespan
   in which they are supposed to have co-existed in nature.
   
   10) The other striking result of a comparison
   between SARS-CoV-2 and ZC45/ZXC21
   relates to another component, the E protein.
   
   The E protein is a structural protein of coronaviruses
   that can tolerate a large number of mutations
   without any negative impact on function.
   
   This is highlighted by the fact that even after just two months
   after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic,
   mutations in the E protein of SARS-CoV-2 were identified.
   
   However, when comparing the original SARS-CoV-2 virus
   with the ZC45/ZXC21 bat viruses,
   they have a 100% identical E protein amino acid sequence.
   
   Given the high mutation rate observed in SARS-CoV-2
   (and in coronaviruses in general), and given the fact that mutations
   can occur anywhere in the virus genome,
   including in the E protein region,
   it makes no biological sense that the original SARS-CoV-2 virus
   would have a 100% identical E protein amino acid sequence
   to the ZC45/ZXC21 bat viruses.
   
   11) Both the above basic biological observations strongly indicate
   that the only way that SAS-CoV-2 can be so dissimilar
   in the S1 region of the spike protein (crucial to human infectivity),
   yet identical in a far less crucial component such as the E protein,
   is through intentional design (genetic manipulation in the lab)
   and not by natural mutation and selection in animal and human hosts.
   
   12) The above information strongly points to SARS-CoV-2
   being constructed based on one or both of the two bat viruses,
   ZC45 and ZXC21, rather than the purported RaTG13.
   ---
   Intention
   
   Based on the above information, in GMWatch’s interpretation,
   the intention of these genetic manipulations would be to determine
   which amino acid changes are required in the RBD of bat viruses
   for them to gain infectivity in human cells.
   
   We do not share Nerd’s conclusion that the original SARS-CoV-2
   was necessarily developed as a bioweapon, though there’s no proof that it wasn’t.
   
   It is equally likely to have been developed for study purposes
   and/or in order to help develop therapies or vaccines
   for current or future coronavirus pandemics.
   Shi Zhengli’s role
   
   There is also the question of Shi Zhengli’s involvement.
   
   Nerd poses a series of questions that must awaken suspicion
   in anyone familiar with the naked ambition that characterizes t
   he virus gain-of-function area of scientific research.
   
   Nerd asks: If RaTG13 were a bona fide natural bat coronavirus
   discovered in the wild in 2013, as Shi Zhengli claims,
   given its "star quality" regarding the high potential to infect humans,
   why didn’t Shi rush to publish its sequence at the time in a prestigious journal?
   
   After all, this is what she had done previously with other bat coronaviruses,
   Rs3367 and SHC014, which share considerable sequence similarity with SARS.
   
   Why did she wait until January 2020,
   when the public row began about the possible lab origin
   of SARS-CoV-2, before publishing the sequence?[2]
   
   Nerd’s implication is that, with speculation mounting about the possible
   lab origin of SARS-CoV-2, and the WIV being a chief suspect,
   Shi scrambled to come up with some sort of “evidence”
   to show that the virus had a natural origin
   and thus was nothing to do with her lab.
   
   That “evidence” consisted of the fabricated sequence of RaTG13.
   Why 2013?
   
   If we accept Nerd’s conclusion that RaTG13 is a fabrication,
   why would Shi and her collaborators claim it was discovered way back in 2013,[3]
   
   as opposed to more recently? Nerd doesn’t go into this,
   but GMWatch believes that two possible reasons are:
   
   1) To avoid awkward questions about why no live sample
   of RaTG13 is available, enabling us to confirm its real existence
   – after all, 2013 is a long time ago.
   
   2) To give sufficient time for RaTG13 to plausibly naturally mutate
   and emerge as SARS-CoV-2, thus supporting the “natural origin”
   hypothesis for the COVID-19 epidemic.
   Why the delay?
   
   GMWatch follows Nerd in finding Shi Zhengli’s delay
   in publishing the sequence of RaTG13 very curious
   to say the least and we understand why he regards it as highly suspicious.
   
   In our view, such work, once published, would be universally acclaimed
   as of immense public health import and potentially worthy of the Nobel Prize.
   
   If RaTG13 is real, it’s not the kind of thing that a scientist of Shi’s
   standing would normally keep under wraps for years.
   
   As any scientist can tell you, they are driven by the desire to be the first
   to announce a new discovery and to bask in the peer recognition
   and glory that this brings – unless, of course, secrecy was mandated
   because the plan was to use RaTG13 in some way that could not be disclosed,
   for example, as the basis for developing a bioweapon.
   
   Personal ambition apart, Shi Zhengli is at fault either way,
   if RaTG13 is real or if it’s fake.
   
   If RaTG13 is real, Shi’s failure to immediately report this discovery
   appears to be an act of extreme negligence that has recklessly
   endangered public health.
   
   In accord with proper scientific conduct in the public interest,
   Shi was morally obliged to promptly announce her discovery
   of RaTG13 and thus put world health authorities on alert
   as to the possibility of this bat virus acquiring the relatively few mutations
   needed to convert it to a human pathogen, thus leading to a new SARS pandemic.
   
   If RaTG13 is fabricated, she would be guilty of scientific fraud,
   apparently committed to cover up an act of negligence in the form
   of her lab’s construction and accidental release of SARS-CoV-2.
   
   In our view, the evidence presented above shows
   that there is an urgent need for a credible
   and independent international investigation
   into the origins of SARS-CoV-2 and the roles played by Shi Zhengli,
   the Chinese government, and the US bodies that helped fund the virus research
   at the WIV, including the National Institutes of Health and the EcoHealth Alliance.

   As far as the fragment goes, it is identical to the RaTG13 sequence
   published in Jan 2020.
   
   However, this does not affect Nerd’s argument that RaTG13 is a fake.
   
   As the commentator “Simen” says on Nerd’s blog site,
   “The existence of RaBtCoV/4991 actually does not prove anything.
   
   The sequence is only 370bp in length and everything else [was]
   still not published until 27-JAN-2020.…
   
   Notably, if what they claim was true on the S protein,
   we should [have] already seen the RBD of RaTG13 being published before.
   
   We didn't.
   
   Therefore, we cannot rule out fabrication/manipulation
   for the rest of RaTG13/RaBtCoV/4991.
   
   Without being able to rule out such fabrication/manipulation,
   the argument that RaTG13 is invalid as ‘evidence’ for a ‘natural’ origin
   of SARS-CoV-2 is still… valid….”
   It is a mystery as to why Shi and colleagues only published
   a tiny fragment of this virus genome.
   
   The procedure used to obtain the sequence of this RdRp
   gene fragment would have provided them with the entire sequence
   of the virus.
   
   Thus the rest of the sequence information appears to have been withheld.
   
   3. In a 2016 paper, Shi describes the collection of samples
   from a mineshaft that led to the isolation of the bat virus BtCoV/4991.
   
   Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance has stated on Twitter
   that BtCoV/4991 is the same virus from the same sample as RaTG13.

If you were online during January 2020 you likely saw the barrage of video clips that were supposedly coming out of China depicting ghastly “Coronavirus” scenes.
Most of those videos have been quietly wiped off the internet, but back in January and February those grisly videos were a viral sensation and they scared the sense out of Americans.
The videos captured supposed Coronavirus victims in various stages of pandemic horror. Some showed people foaming at the mouth and collapsing in the streets, while others featured ominous government officials wearing Hazmat suits, hovering over lifeless bodies struck down from the virus.
It was a virtual buffet of fear-porn, and Americans couldn’t get enough of it.
Personally, I saw hundreds of those videos. The comments from people sharing the clips would range from sarcastic “Just the flu” type stuff — intended to mock and shame anyone who tried to downplay the seriousness of the virus — to wild conspiracy theories claiming Coronavirus caused brain swelling, spontaneous convulsions, and instant death.
It was some of the most powerful video propaganda I’ve ever witnessed.
Imagine being a soccer mom and logging onto Facebook and seeing your sister-in-law’s post of a Chinese man foaming at the mouth and dropping dead, with the caption “Just the flu ” You keep scrolling down your timeline and see the same clip over and over, and other similar shock videos shared by neighbors, friends, and people you work with.
You’d lose your mind, and rightfully so. That’s powerful messaging and it had a major impact on the American psyche, day in and day out for two months straight.
For me, being a suspicious person by nature, it all felt very hysterical, staged, and phony. But at a time when fear, confusion, and distrust were at an all-time high, it was virtually impossible to talk rationally about the virus with friends and family who were sucked in by the “terror propaganda.”
It’s understandable because even though I didn’t buy into the hype, there was still a nagging voice in the back of my head whispering “what if…”
And even that quiet little “what if” was tremendously powerful.
In just two short months Americans were whipped into a fear-frothing frenzy which set the table for the tyrannical lockdowns and mask mandates that would follow. Lockdowns that consumed our nation, pitted neighbor against neighbor, struck down our booming economy, and wiped out small businesses from coast to coast.
Two years ago, if you would have told Americans they would voluntarily shut down their businesses and lock themselves in their homes they would’ve laughed in your face. But those viral videos laid the groundwork for lockdown acceptance. They were the first of many perfectly-timed events that Americans would use to justify tossing away their rights and livelihood in exchange for harsh restrictions and lockdowns — after all, nobody wanted to foam at the mouth and keel over while shopping for cappuccino makers at Bed Bath & Beyond.
However, there was one very big problem… little did we know back then that all of those spine-tingling videos were fake.
That’s right, the beginning of the Coronavirus mass hysteria and the very first building blocks that led to a nation-wide lockdown, the destruction of our economy, and the great global reset was a complete and total hoax.
You’d think a bombshell like that would concern everyone or at the very least pique the interest of journalists and politicians, right?

But it didn’t.
Many people shrugged off the videos, claiming there’s always fake or sensational news online. And they’re right. But this was different. Very different. Those “Chinese fear videos” were hand-picked, edited, and manipulated in order to market a very specific horror story to Americans.
Those video clips played night and day into the darkest and most personal fears of every single American who watched them.
And there was a running narrative, as well. It went like this:
Dear America,

A deadly virus is coming to get you, and your government will downplay it and tell you it’s “just the flu,” but it’s not. It will kill you and your family.
Thanks to those videos, millions of Americans didn’t trust President Trump right out of the gate. While he was working to calm the nation, frantic Americans were thinking about all those Chinese people keeling over in the streets. “Why isn’t Trump as frantic and scared as we are,” many people wondered… what was he hiding?
It all came back to those videos. They set a powerful narrative and programmed countless American minds.
But who would do this? That’s the million-dollar question.
Internet trolls are brilliant and have pulled off some mindboggling stunts, but this felt very different from that. This felt highly organized, sophisticated, and had consistent expert messaging peppered with very cunning psychological warfare.
It looked and felt like a professionally coordinated marketing campaign.
For me, the answer to the million-dollar question is obvious: the people who did this are the ones who would benefit most from the collapse of the US economy, a return to a globalist agenda, and the removal of President Trump.
The next logical question is: who has the means, talent, and resources to successfully pull off a campaign like this?
My theory would go something like this: Some entity, perhaps associated with the Chinese government, weaponized a cache of carefully edited “video clips” and used them as phase one of an intricate “gorilla-type” propaganda war designed to scare the American people into surrendering their lives and livelihoods in an effort to collapse the world’s greatest economy, oust a popular America First President, and reset the globalist agenda. Once these videos were in circulation, it is possible that certain sectors of the American establishment amplified the fear in order to justify the brutal consolidation of power right around the corner.
I’m not an investigative journalist, and I don’t have the resources to uncover who created, uploaded, and marketed those videos. But together, you and I can look back at some of the fake viral videos and stories from last year, and examine how they were cleverly marketed to the American people to achieve peak fear and submission.
One of the biggest viral sensations at the start of the COVID pandemic was a collection of videos showing Chinese people keeling over from the virus.
At the time these videos came out we didn’t know that COVID-19 doesn’t cause people to spontaneously “drop like flies.” I’ve had COVID – a very bad case, actually, that lasted for over three months – and even so, I was still able to stand upright. However, the videos that came out last year told a much different, far scarier story.
They showed random Chinese people dying in the streets from the virus.

That video looks particularly menacing and “virusy” thanks to the officials in Hazmat suits.
That’s a theme you’ll see a lot throughout these videos and images — Hazmat suits. They’re everywhere.
And speaking of Hazmat suits, when digging around for these clips, I discovered that first-responders in China routinely wear Hazmat suits on the job. It’s part of their uniform.
However, thanks to TV shows and Hollywood movies, most Americans immediately think of scientists and highly-contagious deadly viruses when they see a Hazmat suit and it instantly legitimizes the claims that are being made. So it’s easy to see how that viral clip would have a major impact on many US citizens.
The next video was everywhere on social media as well. It claimed to show dead COVIID victims lining the streets and waiting to be picked up like piles of garbage.
Here’s what a Twitter user tweeted out about the video on February 17th, 2020:
“Wuhan China. Dead Bodies waiting 4 pickup. Coronavirus NO ordinary Virus. Is it intentionally released BIO WEAPON?”
Imagine watching this video and picturing your city’s “Main Street USA” lined with dead bodies?
“Coming soon to a town near you…”
That’s a terrifying image and can really mess with someone’s head.
However, this was also a lie.
The video actually shows people sleeping on the streets in Shenzhen, China — a city over 600 miles away from Wuhan, according to the AP.
However, the imagery in this video and the idea that some “bioweapon” was coming to your town was tremendously powerful.
Would you voluntarily stay locked inside your home to avoid being struck down by a bioweapon?
After seeing that video, probably.
Another popular viral image showed a man supposedly suffering from COVID, who collapsed at the airport.

These types of photos were everywhere — they fed into a popular “Wuhan/Coronavirus” narrative that showcased people trying but failing to “escape” the city.
The stories were dramatic tragedy-type tales of victims and scared citizens desperately trying to flee but were either captured or killed by Hazmat officials or they collapsed and died just before they made it out of the city.
It sounds like a Lifetime movie, right? Very emotional stuff involving the human spirit and the will to live — you can relate, can’t you? Sure you can. These poor people are just like you… bla bla bla.
Only, they’re not exactly like you, because unlike you, this story isn’t real.
The man in this photo did not have COVID. In actuality, he was drunk and passed-out according to fact-checker Poynter.
Another running theme in the “China fear clips” were videos showing authorities (oftentimes listed as “armed doctors” by the person posting the video) violently apprehending or killing COVID victims in order to help save the world.
Imagine seeing doctors so frightened of a virus that they’re forced to use weapons against innocent sickly victims. It’s unthinkable and terrifying to even imagine, let alone watch it unfold before your own eyes.
Suddenly, the COVID pandemic felt like a Mad Max movie with apocalyptic themes and “good and evil” trading places.
The doctors have been made evil by a virus so insidious that it turns heroes into villains — what a plot twist!
However, the videos that were shared as actual encounters were really just training videos, many of them with actors.
You have to keep in mind that China is a communist country and they don’t allow just anyone to randomly film things especially involving “government officials,” as we do in the US.
If something was recorded, it was ok’d by the government.
But the people who posted these types of videos went to great lengths to make you believe that you were watching a real-life takedown.
Here’s a sample of the type of “training videos” that were passed off as real encounters.
One of the most compelling videos is no longer available online.
When I watched this particular video it had a rather big impact on me. It was definitely one of my “what if…” moments.
It was a clip of a woman lying dead in the street and the story was that she was shot and killed at the border by doctors as she attempted to flee Wuhan.
There are those powerful themes again… Lifetime movie meets Mad Max.
I remember watching it and thinking, could this be true? Is there a virus so awful that doctors who took an oath to save mankind are now murderers?
Again, what an unthinkable horror and it really made me pause and question myself. Was I not taking this seriously enough? There are so many videos out there… Am I ignoring the ugly truth?
What if…
But like all the others, this video was also a lie.
I was able to locate a screenshot from the video:

The actual video was real, but it had nothing to do with COVID. It was a well-documented motor-scooter accident involving two teenagers, one of whom tragically died. However, the video was artfully edited to remove the “scooter” from the frame in order to tell a completely different story, with an entirely new narrative and theme.

People all over the world have been sharing a video that they claim shows a woman killed by police in China for trying to escape quarantine for the COVID-19 virus, which has infected more than 70,000 people since it first appeared in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The propagation of this video is evidence of the rising hysteria about the virus online. However, our team took a closer look, and found out that the video itself tells an entirely different story.
The 21-second video shows a person wearing a yellow jacket and black trousers lying motionless on the ground. The person’s face is covered in blood. In the background someone is screaming, and at the very end of the video a woman runs towards the person on the ground. The video has garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media, especially Twitter.
Social media users claimed that the person on the ground was a woman fatally shot by police when she tried to break past the blockade set up to try to contain the virus in Wuzu, a city in Hubei province.
Zhang W. sent us another version of the video shared online, which is a fraction of a second longer. If you pause the video, you can see that there is a motorbike or scooter lying on its side on the sidewalk a few metres from the person on the ground. Also, at 0’04, you can see that the concrete barrier around a nearby tree has been damaged.
“Two teenagers were going too fast on their scooters,” explains one of the messages posted in the group alongside the video. “They hit the edge of the road and lost control. The driver died.”​

There were hundreds and hundreds of these types of videos floating around social media — and all of them went viral, and many news outlets and blogs covered them as well… they were everywhere, and they shaped so much of what was yet to come for our country — but they were all fake.
Yet, even so, nobody in the media or our government is asking who made them and posted them online, and why.
Their silence speaks volumes.
But that wasn’t the end… those early videos were just the tip of the psychological warfare. They were just the beginning. Part two quickly kicked in.
I like to call this the “affirmation phase.”
Just as the dramatic COVID videos were starting to taper off, a bombshell report from the Imperial College in London splashed on the scene and its findings all but validated the slew of China horror clips that we’d been watching for months.
The report, which was covered in-depth by The New York Times in April 2020, estimated that as many as 2.2 million Americans would likely die from COVID-19 if we didn’t go into quarantine.
That’s right, if we didn’t lock ourselves in our homes we would end up like all of those poor Chinese people in those videos.
Here’s a blip from the NYT piece:

American officials said the report, which projected up to 2.2 million deaths in the United States from such a spread, also influenced the White House to strengthen its measures to isolate members of the public.
Imperial College has advised the government on its response to previous epidemics, including SARS, avian flu, and swine flu. With ties to the World Health Organization and a team of 50 scientists, led by a prominent epidemiologist, Neil Ferguson, Imperial is treated as a sort of gold standard, its mathematical models feeding directly into government policies.​

“Gold standard” indeed… By mid-May Mr. Ferguson’s erroneous “model” that predicted millions of deaths would be lining birdcages all over the world.
But at that time we didn’t know any better. We simply trusted the “gold plan.”
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, the COVID catastrophe in Italy was unfolding right before our eyes. The world watched in horror as Italy’s medical system collapsed under the weight of all the sick people.
Now, as someone who once lived in Italy, I can tell you that they don’t exactly have “red carpet” healthcare to begin with. Much of the medical system in Italy looks and feels as old as the Colosseum. So, the implosion was not all that shocking for those of us familiar with Italy’s hospitals. But to the average American, it was a horror show. And the images coming out of Italy, coupled with the China videos and the “gold standard” report, was enough for most people to throw in the towel and declare “we’re doomed…”
The COVID fear train was traveling full-steam ahead. All aboard.
Terrified Americans watched in real-time as Italy’s hospitals buckled — stories began circulating showing COVID patients lying on gurneys under trees, on dirt-covered roads, and in parking lots.
It was quite a sight to behold.
Imagine how many Americans pictured themselves or their loved ones on those same outdoor gurneys somewhere in LA, Nashville, or Indianapolis – gasping to take their last breath, waiting for the foam to bubble up and death to snatch them away? It’s a gory picture to paint, but this was the vibe in early Spring of 2020.
Only, just like the China videos before them, many of the stories coming out of Italy were also fake.
One viral Facebook post showed a series of photos with slews of hospital patients lined up on gurneys outside with the caption: “This is Italy. There is no more space in hospitals. Think twice before you put your foot outside the door”

That last line, “Think twice before you put your foot outside the door….” is some top-shelf fear-porn. Would you wander outside the safety of your home if you just saw a line of gurneys under a tree? Probably not.
However, the image was not from Italy, and it had nothing to do with Coronavirus. The image was actually from Croatia and those patients in the photo were earthquake survivors, so of course, they’re not going to be inside damaged hospital buildings.
Here’s what the BBC said about that Facebook post:

The images being shared are genuine, but they are not from Italy.
A reverse image search reveals they were taken in the Croatian capital, Zagreb, after it was hit by an earthquake on 22 March.
The most widely shared post seems to have originated in India just as the government there imposed a nationwide lockdown on 25 March.​

And the fake videos and images weren’t just coming out of China and Italy. The US also got in on the fun.
During a segment on New York’s “overcrowded hospitals,” CBS used B-roll footage from an Italian hospital with a banner that read: “Coronavirus Race to Respond: America’s Epicenter: New York Now Accounts For More Than Half of US Cases.”

Why did CBS use a hospital in Italy to try and convince Americans that New York was buckling under the demand?
Another good question that deserves an answer.
And as a side note to that, Americans had a hard time finding these “overflowing” hospitals… and trust me, they searched and searched. At one point the hashtag #EmptyHospitals was trending on Twitter and videos like this popped up all over the place (most have since been deleted by Youtube):
As it stands now, we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of this Coronavirus pandemic plot…it would be the most bizarre story ever told if it wasn’t so obvious what really went down.
We were purposely bamboozled and tricked into thinking that a virus that caused brain swelling, convulsions, and spontaneous death was coming to our shores, and if we didn’t close our businesses, lock ourselves in our homes, and surrender our liberties millions of us would die.
That was the message which was delivered loud and clear for two months.
It all started with those early videos out of China. They were the very first building blocks of a coordinated marketing campaign to reboot America.
Just look at the totality of what happened as a result of the pandemic and ask yourself who benefited most from all of those “perfectly-timed” events. I think if you do that, and also consider the well-crafted fear campaign that was foisted upon all of us, you will agree that my “working theory” holds water.

  We were subjected to a biological and psychological attack that the Democrats and BLM exploited to demoralize and defeat Trump. Personally, I feel like they did it knowingly. It should be considered a war crime but ultimately we lost and so they will never face consequences for what was done. Absolutely no one in the Republican party or on the "right" fought back. Instead, we were bombarded with Religious commercials for Prayer apps and my pillows. So, the Republicans exploited the situation to try to get everyone to join their base through a religious revival basically. America was defeated and demoralized intentionally. And it continues.

  I was in China the day after Wuhan's province was locked down & we were supposed to stay for 10 days. They started locking down hotels & transportation was starting to be restricted. We managed to flee in 3 days. Shortly after they sprayed the city streets where I visited with bleach. There was a brave young Wuhan doctor who warned his colleagues & word got out to the World. The CCP was already censoring information. President Trump was prudent in quickly restricting egress from China & beginning the quarantine of arrivals. The cases coming through the European door unexpectedly infected the East Coast. Of course Trump's political opponents started criticizing any action taken. Our medical gurus were dumbfounded whether this would be similar to a normal flu season or worse. The American Journal of Medicine in an article on January 21st this year reaffirmed the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic & early treatment. Trump had mentioned it's potential after hearing positive results from Dr. Didier Raoult of France & Dr. Zelenko of New York. Unfortunately Dr. Fauci & Democratic allies in government, the MSM, & social media mounted a campaign to censor our news against the use of Hydroxychloroquine. In hindsight, hundreds of thousands of American lives and millions throughout the World could have been saved if Hydroxychloroquine had continued to be administered until better therapeutics or vaccines were found. Trump was right in the long run.

  We were duped by the CCP and communists within our own government. I recall the videos , they were horrific. I remember the pictures and stories of crematoriums running 24/7. videos of Chinese workers in hazmat suits spraying down the streets and dead animals laying about. What was done to the world by the communists and globalists to regain power is a crime against humanity the likes of which the world has never seen. this is pure evil and they need to be treated as such.

  Appreciate that the author has reminded the readers of those absurd Chinese and other videos used at the onset of the psychological operation. But the operation is far more ambitious and international than simply the removal of Trump. Though the circumstances were expertly used to remove Trump and install this nightmarish new regime.

  The whole timing of it coming down during a volatile US election year, in which the evil worldwide cabal of communists wanted desperately to get rid of President Trump, was suspect. They won and part of that was because of the stupidity of too many Americans who never critically think outside the box they live in. As for myself I never feared COVID because I am in excellent health and I take natural aids to keep viruses at bay, including extra Vitamin D and C, Airborne every day, and colloidal silver which kills viruses on contact. Simple inexpensive natural preventatives could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives from COVID but the media and the government never talked about it. There was no money in it. There was money in vaccines so that's all they pushed on us. If Americans are going to survive as a nation they are going to have to smarten up.

        It's always pros and cons. Reading is good for neurological development in a way that TV isn't but it's really about thinking. If you watch a stimulating documentary it will cause a great deal of brain activity while reading a dull book will do nothing for your brain.

      You are wrong. Colloidal Silver made properly is not photo-reactive at all. If you don't use distilled water, or add salt or baking soda to speed up the processing, you don't make colloidal silver, you make silver mineral salts, similar to photographic processing. Also, the "blue man" was making it in this incorrect way, and drank over a quart a day (an absurd amount) for over 10 years before he started showing any color from it. Properly made CS will NOT turn you blue. PERIOD. He enjoyed the notoriety and never tried to chelate the silver from his body, so no one REALLY knows if his Agyria was permanent. With al the millions of people who use CS regularly, don't you think it odd there is only ONE example of anyone turning blue?   I remember the nurses in NY hospitals faking that they were out of pep and then it was found out it was stolen by hospital employees and sold on black markets. The other was the hospitals ordering refrigerated trucks for the dead bodies , did not believe this for a second. I do remember also back in may some independent videographers going around to supposedly over filled hospitals and the reality was that the hospitals were empty . We were conned folks. It was and is a real flu that kills the elderly and those with several co-morbidities. The way it was handled by Democrat Governors and large city mayors was to hype this for all it s worth in terms of blaming President Trump and then economically crashing their cities/states to further the blame put on him. Again WE HAVE BEEN CONNED ---The results of which was a stolen election-a ruined middle class and a distrust of every institution from the WHO-CDC--NIH--Total Government--The Media --..........
